ULKA EP5 Vibration Pump - Coffee Espresso Machine Spare Part

Perfect fit, my Barista Express is working a treat now after replacing an overheating pump which was tripping the thermal fuse. It had made about 12,000 cups of coffee over 8 years before it decided to slowly die. Sounds alot more healthy than the old pump for sure and giving very good pressure too! Thank you.

Absolutely delighted to leave this review for this amazingly priced coffee pump which fixed an issue I was having with my Sage Barista Pro. The problem I was having is that when I turned my machine on and selected the double shot button, no water was coming out. I Was advised to try and replace the pump. I wasn't sure if this pump was going to fit my machine as my original installed pump was the EFM model whilst this one on amazon was just the E model. For the budget friendly price of £20 I thought it was worth the risk after having been quoted £250 for my problem to be fixed by a local coffee machine technician. The part was easy enough to fit after watching a short video on YouTube. I closed the machine up and waited in anticipation to see if water would be dispensed when I selected the double shot button.....and it did! If you find yourself with a similar problem to mine, just go for this product especially for the Sage machines as they seem to use the same pump. Delighted with my purchase! The part arrived quickly but the new pump when fitted is very noisy compared to the previous one. The pump is working and the delivery was sooner than anticipated so tge service was good.

I have a DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM4200 that has been providing me with excellent coffee for 4 years now. I recently moved house and after moving the machine to my new kitchen, was disappointed that it had stopped working. It seemed to start up as usual, but when at the first rinse, started making a horrible noise, a prolonged high pitched electronic buzz, as if the pump was malfunctioning. I easily opened the machine by removing the screws on the casing and this revealed the mechanism. On starting the machine again, this seemed to confirm that the noise was coming from the water pump. Luckily, the model number was on the side: Ulka EP5 Vibration Pump, and I was delighted to discover that Amazon supply this pump for around £15 from a third party seller. I bought it, in the hope that it would restore life to my valued machine. Fitting the pump was not difficult. A bit fiddly to get the old pump out of the housing, but all the electrical connections were not soldered, but little replaceable clips. I reversed the process to get the new pump in and after full installation, started the machine. To my delight, it was working perfectly again. And has been producing great coffee ever since; as good as new! (Note: please read the instructions supplied with the pump as failing to prime it properly can damage the boilers in the machine)

I had purchased a Sage Barista Express off an auction site for a vastly reduced price to what they normally retail for. Admittedly, it did say it was a return item but I didn't know that it wouldn't work completely. Having looked through numerous websites to see what might be the issue, I figured out that it might be the water pump that had given up the ghost, so I dismantled the machine and took a look. I then realised that there wasn't many suppliers of water pumps for Sage coffee machines and Sage themselves were of no use whatsoever, as they wanted to charge me a couple of hundred pounds to service the machine! I managed to find this on Amazon and took a punt on it. What's the worst that could happen? I'd be saving myself a few hundred quid anyways. Once it arrived, I spent the best part of a morning taking the machine apart and replacing the pump. I then put it all back together again and switched it on and.... it worked! I was impressed that a) I managed to fit the bloody thing and b) that it worked. Saved me a ton of cash and I now have delicious coffee whenever I want it. Definitely recommend this.

So far so good, straight swap for the delonghi magnifica esam 4209 and my machine is back up and running again. Let's see if it lasts as long as the last one.

This is the correct pump for a Gaggia Classic and many other domestic and commercial coffee makers. If your machine is struggling to start pumping or making nasty coffee it may be the pump. Its inexpensive, arrived quickly and easy to fit. In our experience they last about four years with daily use so we almost treat the pump as a consumable. Our Classic is on at least its third pump.
