This type of filter is able to filter bacteria from the mixture. It will filter out other impurities as well. I was using it for a food product and once you get used to using one the applications are endless. One serving of specially filtered liquids or oils comes to mind so you taste your food and not the impurities or bits that did not dissolve well.

Works well, expensive.
Unfortunately, like all others of this device, these are not even slightly cheap. They do work well though, just be careful not to press too hard or they may pop. The amount they can filter obviously depends on how turbid the liquid is, but even with quite turbid water, with corn starch, I have been able to pull over 25 ml through them.

These filters work great you just have to go slow.

Didnโt Filter
While it did filter quite a bit, huge visible debris still passed thru this filter. I can only imagine that every single microscopic contaminant passed thru as well.

I Returned These
These look great but I tried them once. It fit on the syringe fine, they seemed durable and well made, however I felt like the filtration didn't flow through the filter. It seems like it kept the liquid in the filter. Maybe I was using them wrong but I ended up returning the unused ones.
