Super smooth and quiet. perfect whipping reel for the reef
Every fisherman wants a reel that is not so expensive they don't want to use it. The next issue is does it actually have the what you want. Speed ratio, braid or mono capacity, as advertised drag when fishing. The build quality has to be there too. No one wants a reel that woobles, grinds, or makes fishing harder. I was happy that the price was not as expensive as my Stradic. However, after some quick out of box maintenance and stringing. I tested it out. I big 4 ibs porcupine bait stealer, just pulling that dead weight fish in told me a lot. The drag and rotation was super smooth and not a single sound with the tension on the line. A couple papio and hagis later I knew the would be my workhorse for finding new spots when I didn't want to risk the Stradic getting dinged up. Great reel for the money try it out.

Smooth reel. Instant backwards lock.
I really enjoy the reel. Great quality. Super smooth. My favorite feature is the instant stop to the handle when you stop reeling. Other reels allow it to reel backwards half a turn or so.

Smooth reel and great value
Very happy with this reel. It feels smooth when retrieving and the drag is easy to adjust. I've been using it for saltwater fishing and it pairs nicely with my longer rods without adding too much weight. For the price, it feels well built and has been a great addition to my fishing setup.

Second Purchase
I bought one earlier and liked it so much I got another. Smooth retrieve, well made. I saltwater fish. The sea spray and sand in the air do not effect this reel. I do throughly rinse with copious amounts od fresh water after each use.

Super smooth cast and retrieve
I bought the 5000 model and have 30# braid and a 8'6" medium/heavy rod. I was just in Mexico for 10 days and caught a bunch of fish and at least 6 species of fish with this reel. Its like a Cadillac! So smooth and quiet! Casts long and smooth drag Im buying the 3000 and putting 15# on it.
