Plastic, but more durable.
I thought it would be glass like my Brix I ordered, but this is plastic. Never paid close attention to the description I guess. I had selected plastic for the graduated cylinder, maybe that selected plastic for both. I have a refractometer, and this reads close to the same when it was calibrated with distilled water. I have yet to try the hydrometer with distilled water....

Low quality
The hydrometer is cheap plastic and started leaking and pulling liquid into it after a couple of uses get a better quality glass one.
