Had an ignition problem on our 2002 Wrangler Sahara, I was replacing the actuator so I went ahead and replaced the switch as well. Perfect 1/1 replacement, popped it right in, easy-peasy… it didn’t fix my problem, but once I did find the problem the new switch didn’t cause any other problems, so I give it five stars.

Almost like the Chrysler OEM part
Purchased to replace the Ignition Switch # 924-869 together with the Actuator # 924-704 (that I had purchased some weeks before). The symptom was Lights On, on the dashboard, but no Crank and no even a Click from the Starter. Diagnostic was bad Ignition Switch and/or broken parts on the Ignition Actuator. Got to start the engine by bypassing the Starter Relay (and pretty much everything else) with a Jump Wire with two flat terminals, that I had in the glove-box in anticipation of such event. Note: the Fuse and the Starter Relay are located in the Main Fuse & Relay Box located in the Engine Compartment, next to the battery. Had to do the same above "bypass procedure" for a few days until I got the Ignition Switch delivered. Thanks to the USPS (yes, the postal service) the delivery was one day earlier than Amazon estimation (!) Installing the Actuator is a big PITA, as everything has to fit properly and the way it was designed by the Chrysler engineers: overly complicated and with a bunch of small and very small parts that have to come together perfectly. Don't forget to lubricate all the moving parts! Can use Lithium grease or Assembly Grease (as it is more oily), like I did. Fitting the Ignition Switch over the end of the Actuator, is another PITA. May need several attempts until it gets into the right position: READ and Understand the instructions, and also: READ below. And DON"T push too hard. Be gentle and handy at the same time, otherwise you will break something and will end up with another mess. After replacement, I did get the "ding-ding-ding" warning sound (like when Key is left inserted in the Tumbler) even with No Key in the ignition, until I closed the Driver side Door. I disconnected slowly the Ignition Switch from the Actuator and noticed that the Plunger was pushed inwards. The "trick" to do it the right way (and it's not anywhere in the instructions manual) is: With both the Switch and the Actuator in the "Run" position, attach the the Switch half way to the Actuator. While keeping to push the Switch lightly and before it will engage onto the retaining clips of the Actuator, turn the Tumbler counter clockwise into the Off position. That will make the Ignition Switch to slide all the way and engage the proper way with the Actuator. Then, upon removal of the Key from the Tumbler, the spring-loaded Plunger will be released within the round deeper opening of the Switch. Insert the small Torx screw and permanently attach the Ignition Switch onto the Actuator. Plug-in the Ignition Harness, insert the Key in the Tumbler and check for the proper functionality, before re-positioning the Combination Switch and re-attaching the top and bottom Covers to the Steering Column. Done !

Works okay
…seems to work fine but the spring back mechanism isn’t super smooth (after engaging Start position). I even returned one and obtained a second one to make sure this wasn’t a defect. The second seemed to spring back slightly better but still not smoothly. Works fine otherwise.

Worked for my 2004 TJ unlimited. I still have an issue I am diagnosing around the alignment of the components. The door chime comes on as if the key is left in the ignition. I don’t think this has to do with the product.
