High Quality Dock, super sturdy
Device works as described. Suggest purchasing a compatible power brick if you use it in a different location than the Original Charger

The only steam deck dock you truly need!
I never thought I'd be here writing this review. Well, here we are! So one thing I would like to point out is the craftsmanship of this product. The material doesn't feel cheap; the dock has a solid build along with a built-in M.2 slot for more storage. I've downloaded my AAA games on my 1TB SSD to test out the dock's built-in M.2 slot, and I didn't see any changes in speed or load times. It ran perfectly fine; also, the charging capability is excellent with a pass-through charging dock. It has a decent weight, so it doesn't feel cheap; it's sturdy and secure when housing your Steam Deck. I almost forgot to mention that the dock has grips on the bottom to prevent sliding or unwanted movements. The heat level is decent, nothing major. The dock comes with a built-in heat sink to reduce overheating from your built-in M.2 SSD slot. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend, and I hope they expand its features to include a display port, an additional type C port, and an SD card slot for additional storage.

Great with some odd behaviors
I exchanged my first for a new one because no matter what I did, I couldn't get any of my USB mouses to work. The second one had the same issues and I gave up and bought a Bluetooth mouse. Unfortunately, I just didn't like the usage-flow. Our gaming stuff is behind a cabinet in our TV stand. Some games on the Steam Deck need you to interact with the integrated controls before mouse and keyboard. Sometimes I forgot to re-enable Bluetooth when playing in handheld mode and have to interact with the integrated controls to enable it again. I was better off using a more portable USB C dock and long HDMI cable. Does it look a little more janky? Yes, but I also find myself playing in handheld mode or attached to my office's peripherals more often than my TV anyways. The USB mouse issues were super frustrating. Every mouse worked flawlessly with any other dock.

Great deck for asus rog ally z1 extreme
I was able to insert my SSD ( Samsung NVMe 2.0 1T and boot my asus rog from it . Internet cable works super fine HDMI cable also works perfect . It’s link to my pc monitor all day without any problem . Temperature on my asus between 50 when I am just working on it and 65 -75 when I am playing on it My SSD card that inside the deck have 38-40c temp And it works and boots fine from me no problem Speed of reading from my SSD is perfect I can see any delay or lag it’s same as I have it inside my PC Looks beautiful neat and sold . Value of money it’s 100% worth it .

Worthless
Originally I thought this dock worked great but then started seeing various connection issues. I needed an M.2 dock but I guess I'll have to go back to a regular dock. Not HDMI 2.0. My max refresh rate on this dock is 75hz. Connection is unstable and deck blue screens on windows. Regular dock and other computers display max fresh rate. Disappointed. I guess I'll have to find something else. Update: After scouring the interweb I thought the issue may be the Deck power supply so I bought a 100w one rated to work w/ the deck. Still the same issues. 75hz max. I also noticed the cables have almost a loose fit in the usb and Hdmi ports. Troubleshooted this thing for a week now and nothing made a difference. Doesn't matter what monitor/cables/drivers/Operating System/power or even Deck bios configuration. Absolute waste of time. If you plan on using m.2 look elsewhere (like a no name brand w/ a displayport and ethernet in the back.) Last gripe isn't specific to this dock but why do no docks have a power switch? This would seriously alleviate a ton of of other issues for Deck users until valve gets their usb c data act together. It wouldn't make a difference for this one because it sucks either way.

thermal issues with NVMe
I was very happy with this, initially, But I kept having thermal shutdowns on my NVMe. passive cooling, with all the heat being on the bottom of the unit, doesn't work that well it turns out. also, my system would crash sometimes when I would move the dock. , So it looks like some of the internal solder joints are not as robust as they could be.

Must have addition to your Steam Deck!
Worked perfectly! I now can use the steam deck on the big screen and play as long as I wish.

Works great!
Works as advertised. Threw in an old m.2 drive and the deck see's it just fine. Also connects to the hardwire network adapter without the power cord plugged in. Nice surprise.

I originally had the Valve dock and it was terrible.
With the Valve dock I encountered tons of problems when docked, it would act like there's no signal to my monitor. I bought this one set it up and 1 shot deal, it worked. It's worked every other time since. This dock is significantly better and I got it on sale. I would highly recommend over the Valve one.
