The Tacks will hold the cover in place. The Tacks should be hammered into the wood frame to secure. I used an upholstery hammer and held the Tack with needle noise pliers. This helped to bang the Tacks in straight and not hurt your fingers.

These are attractive and easy to install. The stem is slightly grooved, so they stay in place. Not like others that I have used which pop out of the wood!

I reupholstered a chair, originally covered in vinyl, with leather. I didn’t know how many of the original tacks would be reusable so I got these just in case. They do work but some of them, the nail part separated from of the rounded part.
