Quick cooking times. Minimal prep. Simple methods. Ideas for air fryers and slow cookers. One hundred speedy, delicious and slimming-friendly recipes from Pinch of Nom. This gorgeous, full-colour cookbook contains one hundred super-fast, super-easy recipes designed to fit around busy everyday life. From satisfying breakfasts and tasty fakeaways to big one-dish roasts and indulgent puds, this book features all the incredibly delicious and hearty food you've come to expect from bestselling authors, Kate and Kay Allinson โ but with an Express twist. Whether you're looking for family-friendly recipes that take twenty minutes to cook, or want to let your oven, slow cooker or air fryer do all the work - there are options here for every style and routine. Review: Very good - This is good, simple recipe book. None of the recipes are too elaborate and you don't need to be a professional chef to make them. Indeed, many of the brief reviews shown on the inside cover use words like 'easy' and 'simple'. Obviously this all lives up to the title of the book since it uses the words 'express' and 'fast'. The introduction goes into quite a lot of detail regarding how the recipes are tagged, what the key ingredients are and what the essential kit is. The food photography throughout the book is extensive and of good quality. Some of the recipes in the multi method chapters have more than one photograph and also stretch to more than one page. Each recipe has at least one full-page photograph, which is good so that you can see what you're aspiring to, but the downside is that there are less recipes in the book than you'd have if not all of them had photographs. You can probably guess what a roasted root vegetable soup or a cheesy pasta bake should look like without having to see. Each recipe is labelled with things such as veggie, vegan, dairy free, gluten free, batch cook, freeze me and (where appropriate) a number of chilli peppers to rate the spiciness. Preparation time, cooking time and number of servings appear at the top of every recipe. There are tips in the corner of the page sometimes with some non-obvious advice or possible variations. The final chapter has detailed nutritional information for all of the recipes. Overall, as a simple recipe book for someone who might not be an experienced cook, this latest Pinch of Nom book is very good. For completeness the contents page looks like this: Introduction 6 Quick Cook 20 Quick Cook: Air Fryer and Multi Method 90 Quick Prep 118 Quick Prep: Air Fryer and Multi Method 228 Index, Nutritional Info and Acknowledgements 244 The full list of recipes: Breakfast tacos Poached egg with crispy Parma ham Green eggs and ham Savoury breakfast pancakes Teriyaki chicken donburi Beef and pineapple burgers Szechuan-style noodles Cashew nut chicken Chilli crab linguine Green veg pasta Meatballs with ginger and spring onion Garlicky surf and turf Tamarind chicken Beef with chilli and garlic Bourbon glazed chicken Ham, cheese and spinach omelette wrap Yellow Thai-style curry Beef, ginger and orange stir-fry Garlic, chilly and parsley spaghetti Carrot and ginger soup Peanut ramen Pizza pockets Cauliflower cheese with bacon Pizza pork Tuna melt wrap Roasted lemon and Parmesan broccoli Sticky pineapple fried rice Tuna bean salad Bacon, cheese and tomato slices Black Forest Bakewells Apricot Danish-style pastries Peach Bellini jellies Banana pancake traybake Raspberry filo tart Zinger halloumi fries with garlic and onion dip Sweet chilli chicken nuggets Pesto chicken escalope Fiery chilli chicken kebabs Chicken parmo Crispy garlic mushrooms Mashed potato balls Mocha lava cakes Breakfast folded wrap Banana and blueberry muffins Egg and bacon pies Sweet and sour halloumi curry Tofu and coconut curry Loaded puppy fries Fragrant chicken curry Lemon and ginger chicken Peri-peri pulled chicken wraps Creamy chipotle beef Shredded vegetable and chicken salad Sausage and tomato mac 'n' cheese Salt and pepper chicken salad Mushroom keema Bacon and red pesto soup Cullen skink Roasted root vegetable soup Spicy pasta soup Creamy bacon and butternut squash chicken Tomato and mango salsa chicken Cheesy Marmite pasta bake Ham and cheese gratin Spanish-style roast vegetables BBQ bolognese Chicken puttanesca bake Creamy sausage and mash pie Apple and mustard swineherd's pie Sticky plum and chicken traybake Chimichurri baked cod Bobotie Dijon sausages Curried quiche Creamy hunter's chicken Cider chicken pie Cheesy garlic gammon Roasted red pepper chicken Margherita cod Roast pork and apple salad Boulangere potatoes Sweet potato hash browns Sweet carrot and ginger slaw Prawn saganaki Winter berry cobbler Biscoff sponge traybake Orange and ginger rhubarb crumble Caramel apple upside-down cake Cookies and cream cheesecake Chocolate sponge traybake Mint chocolate mousse Chocolate and ginger tart Raspberry sorbet Salted caramel froyo Lemon and lime pots Peanut butter and chocolate ice pops Zinger tuna fishcakes Smoky chicken and bean stew Pulled pork chilli Lentil falafel burgers Review: Wow! Better than ever, if possible., - Firstly just to say I am a massive Pinch Of Nom fan. I have every book and probably use one every day. I lost 3.5 stones during lockdown and I have kept it off. I basically eat all things Pinch of Nom and still have loads of recipes to try. Their food is absolutely delicious. They use huge flavours to make it so tasty and you would never know you were on a weight loss plan, itโs actually the best Iโve ever eaten. To lose the weight I stuck rigidly to the following: a breakfast of no more than 300 calories; lunch is either soup, salad, omelette or leftovers from pinch of nom meal I had night before; dinner was/is always pinch of nom meal with my plate half packed with veg. That was all I ate. Now to maintain, I stick to above but maybe have takeaway at weekend, eat some sweet things now and again, eat what I want when I go on holiday. I was, therefore, mega-excited to get their Express book and it certainly doesnโt disappoint. Iโve not tried the recipes yet, but Iโve never had one I didnโt like. The recipes look wonderful and Iโm planning this weeks meals just now. There is a huge selection but the ones in most excited to try are Tamarind Chicken, sticky Pineapple Fried Rice, sausage and Tomato Mac n Cheese, and Creamy Bacon and Butternut Chicken but to be honest they all look marvellous. There are two main sections: Quick Cook and Quick Prep and each of those is divided into Breakfast, Fakeaways, Soups and Stews, Bakes, Roasts and One Pots, Snacks and Sides, Sweet Treats, and at the end Airfryer and Multi Methods. The choice is huge and you will never be bored or run out of ideas. As all Pinch of Nom books, it has appetising photographs and easy instructions. The quality of the paper is lovely too. I honestly canโt recommend this book highly enough. To me it looks like the best one yet and thatโs no mean feat. If you want to lose weight, be healthy and enjoy the most delicious meals this is the best way out there. I should know, Iโve tried them all. Buy this, use it, you will love it!

I love this book!
I love this book! It has so many easy and tasty recipes that are perfect for busy days. I have tried several of them and they are all delicious and satisfying. The book is well organized and has clear instructions and beautiful photos. I also like that it has some air fryer and slow cooker recipes, which are very convenient. Some of my favorite recipes are the Tamarind Chicken, the Sticky Pineapple Fried Rice, and the Creamy Bacon and Butternut Chicken. They are all full of flavor and very filling. I also enjoy the sweet treats section, which has some yummy and guilt-free desserts. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves good food and wants to save time and money.

Not all recipes are strictly 'Express' but a fabulous recipe book regardless...
I have a large collection of recipe books because I love cooking but I'm not particularly creative with food and need a bit of direction and inspiration the kitchen. In true Pinch Of Nom style, this new 'Express' book is a superb collection of recipes that do not require any fancy ingredients that you wouldn't be able to pick up with your regular food shop. One of my favourite things about these books, 'Express' included, is that each recipe is accompanied by a fabulous full colour photograph of the finished dish. I do like to know what the end result is supposed to look like. As with the previous books all recipes are labelled to show whether or not they can be frozen or batch cooked or if they are gluten or dairy free etc. Number of servings per recipe is noted as are approximate prep and cooking times. The book is divided into two sections 'Quick Cook' and 'Quick Prep'. But is it really 'Express'....well sort of yes, for the most part and depending on your definition of express. If you're expecting an entire book full of recipes that can be prepped, cooked and on the table in a half hour then you might be slightly disappointed with the 'Quick Prep' half of the book. There are a few recipes in this section that I would still describe as fast, but many of these recipes are likely to take closer to an hour from start to finish (including prep time) with a just a few even having a cook time of roughly an hour or more. However these are mainly recipes that you can just bung in the oven or slow cooker and not have to do a great deal with after prep so it's not so bad. As with any recipe book, there are a couple of recipes that I probably won't try but I'll give the vast majority a go. I can see the Biscoff Sponge Traybake being a favourite in our house. Really looking forward to trying the Pulled Pork Chilli (6 hours in slow cooker, so not strictly express), Cider Chicken Pie, Sticky Plum and Chicken Traybake, Spicy Chicken Pasta, Fragrant Chicken Curry, Sweet chilli Nuggets and Pizza Pockets (these will be a great packed lunch alternative). Despite some recipes being a bit of a stretch on the term 'Express' this is still a fabulous, well presented book, great value and definitely a worthwhile addition to your recipe book collection..

A fabulous addition to our collection
This book is, I think, my favourite PON so far. I love the quick meals and the recipes that can use the ninja. Some excellent, healthy choices. The only criticism (which came from my husband as he looks at macros) was that the nutritional info in the back of the book does not have page numbers to refer to, so when he finds a meal that fits what he needs to eat we then have to look through the book to find the recipe. This would be a great addition to their next book! ๐

So Delicious you won't realise your living the Healthy Lifestyle
Loved every single one of the PON Books and Meal Planners - which by the way have recipes inside that you can't get on the website - The Meals in the Express Book are so Simple to Follow and Cook that it's become my Partners Favourite Book - and the pictures are just a couple of the Dishes he tried so far - my new favourite breakfast is the Green Eggs & Ham - if you want to eat good healthy food while trying to lose weight I'd definitely recommend buying
