Schoolyard rivalries. Baking disasters. Puffed sleeves. Explore the violet vales and glorious green of Avonlea in this spirited graphic novel adaptation. “The spirit of Anne is alive and well in Mariah Marsden's crisp adaptation, and it's a thrill to watch as the beloved orphan rushes headlong through Brenna Thummler's heavenly landscapes. Together Marsden and Thummler conjure all the magic and beauty of Green Gables. Like Anne herself, you won't want to leave.” — Brian Selznick, author/illustrator of The Invention of Hugo Cabret and The Marvels When Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert decide to adopt an orphan who can help manage their family farm, they have no idea what delightful trouble awaits them. With flame-red hair and an unstoppable imagination, 11-year-old Anne Shirley takes Green Gables by storm. From triumphs and thrills to the depths of despair, Anne turns each everyday moment into something extraordinary. The magic of L.M. Montgomery’s treasured classic is reimagined in this whimsically illustrated graphic novel adaptation perfect for newcomers and kindred spirits alike. Kids from age 10 on, as well as adult fans of Anne, will enjoy rediscovering Anne's world through Brenna Thummler's spirited art. Review: Stunning artwork and excellent story retelling - I cannot wait to see what other books are in this series. My daughter is in Kindergarten and so badly wants to read but is not quite there yet. She usually goes through her older brother’s graphic novels but I knew they aren’t really what she’s interested in. I’m not even sure how I stumbled upon these, but I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this to my daughter. She enjoys the stunning, vivid drawings, and makes brushing hair so much more pleasant for both of us. I was truly surprised at the thoughtfulness of the author in choosing which parts of the story to tell. As a former literacy teacher, I cannot recommend this enough! Review: Add more books! - My girl is already loving this and takes me back to the 80s films I grew up with. I was already looking for additional books but don’t see any! Hopefully the author will add more to the series because it’s wonderful!

Such fond memories
I remember watching the Anne of Green Gables TV Series when I was about 11 or 12 years old. I wouldn’t realize until adulthood that there were books! Anne is such an endearing character. All the characters will grow in your heart. This is a story that never gets old. The graphic novel was entertaining and the art was beautiful. The weird noses were very distracting. I read this on an electronic device in color. I would highly recommend and will be purchasing a copy for my home library.

Anne's Whimsical Journey
In Anne of Green Gables: A Graphic Novel, Mariah Marsden breathes new life into L.M. Montgomery’s beloved classic, making it accessible for a new generation of readers. This beautifully illustrated adaptation captures the magic and charm of Anne Shirley, an imaginative 11-year-old orphan whose arrival at Green Gables transforms the lives of everyone around her. When siblings Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert set out to adopt a boy to help manage their family farm, they are caught off guard by the delightful whirlwind that is Anne. With her fiery red hair and vivid imagination, Anne gets into a series of misadventures that bring laughter, love, and a little romance to the small community. Friends like Diana Barry and rivals like Gilbert Blythe add to Anne’s dynamic story, as her escapades turn the mundane into the extraordinary. This graphic novel beautifully conveys the essence of Anne's journey—from her triumphs to her challenges—while showcasing her ability to find joy in every situation. Anne of Green Gables: A Graphic Novel is not only a perfect introduction for newcomers but also a nostalgic treat for kindred spirits, celebrating the enduring spirit of a character who has captured hearts for generations.

Beautiful twist on a classic for a new generation.
What a perfect way to introduce a beloved classic to a new age group. I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter who is obsessed with everything cottage core-- I thought it might be a good way to increase her reading with an aesthetically pleasing book, different classic book concept and of course sweet subject matter. I also purchased it for a few of her friends for birthday gifts--wanting to satisfy the parents as well as kids when gift giving. Beautifully illustrated, bright and definitely eye catching for a younger audience. Highly recommended.

One of my granddaughters is wonderfully creative and loves to draw, but she doesn't like to read. She loved this and two other graphic novels I bought her for Christmas.

Fun Twist on a Classic
Is it possible to have too much Anne Shirley in your life? No, it’s definitely not. This is a lovely adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s beloved novel, filled with the most notable and heartwarming moments from the original novel. The artwork is lovely, and this graphic novel is perfect for both old and new fans of Anne with an E.
