Pyroflam Vitro Ceramic Oval Casserole with Borosilicate Clear Glass Lid, White, 3.5L

I would never have bothered with a new pan set if I'd found these first. They go on the hob (ceramic), under the grill, in the oven, in the microwave, fridge and freezer (although better to cover with foil or clingfilm and not to rely on the lid in freezer) They boils as fast as the pans (tested, one pint of water in each from a cold start) and you can turn them off 5 minutes before needed as they continue to cook. Also need to use lower setting on hob so saving money. Got most of mine from a Tesco offer and so pleased I bought this roaster as well. They also go in the dishwasher, which my pans won't, and are easy to wash up by hand as well. Can't fault them.

Really good product. Fits in our microwave. I cook a large chicken roast (or any roast) surrounded by potatoes and carrots in it - a snug fit but it works. I cook on medium in the microwave for 50mins with the lid on and then straight into the oven with the lid off and the grill on to brown the food - absolutely delicious - succulent interior (cooked even throughout) with a crisp exterior.

I've had mine for a good few weeks now, and am absolutely delighted with it. Yes - it can be used on the hob, but really only for boiling - I do my initial meat etc. browning in a frying pan, and then transfer to the dish. It's not a problem. I also like the shape - ideal for lamb shanks and similar. Cleaning is a piece of cake.

It does what it says on the box. You can use it brown things off on the grill when making casseroles etc then put it straight into the oven for slow cooking. Very easy to clean afterwards. Thoroughly recommended. Nikki's Mum

Really good, heats up quickly and every casserole I've made has been great! Best of all, it's stupidly easy to get clean regardless of having it in the oven for 5 hours

Didn't get to use it, when delivered upon unpacking the glass lid was found to be broken. In process of returning and will opt for a better quality product in the future.

It is of Very Good quality and use is exactly what I needed. Not as heavy to handle as most others.

auf der Suche nach Ersatz einer Jena Glasauflaufform deren Deckel uns durch hinfallen zerbrach blieb ich bei dieser Auflaufform bzw Kasserolle hängen. Heute haben wir sie eingeweiht, alles top. Sehr schön ist auch die Größe dieser Auflaufform. Unsere alte Form fasste ca. 2,5 L da konnte es je nach Gericht schon mal knapp werden. Diese Form fasst 3,5 L, das ist um einiges angenehmer wenn man für mehr als 2 Personen Aufläufe zubereiten möchte. Die ovale Formgebung dieser Auflaufform ist auch sehr gefällig, sie lässt sich zudem prima reinigen. Mir war es wichtig eine Form zu kaufen deren Deckel auch in den Backofen darf, da wir auch viele Rezepte verwenden wo man den Auflauf mit Deckel in den Ofen stellen sollte.

Suite à de graves problèmes de santé, je suis passée au bio, et j'ai supprimé tous les instruments de cuisine nocifs ou supposés tels. Plus d'anti-adhésifs type Téflon, d'émail,d'Inox fabriqués en Chine, de plastiques... Place au Pyrex, Pyroflam, Arcoflam, fer et Inox français. Cette cocotte est en vitoceramique (verre recuit) qui ne relargue aucun produit nocif pour la santé. Je l'utilise surtout pour toutes les préparations acides type sauce tomates maison et quelques plats en sauce. Elle va sur le feu, dans le four, dans le frigo et directement sur la table.... Et en plus : c'est fabriqué en France ! et pas cher du tout. Seul défaut : c'est un peu lourd et c'est bien le seul défaut !

Super plat pour cuisiner sur vitro ou au four. Se nettoie facilement.

Ich besitze schon einige Glaskeramiktöpfe und verwende Sie hauptsächlich für die tägliche Kocherei und das schon jahrelang. Diese Töpfe sind wirklich für alles einzusetzen; man kann mit ihnen kochen, dämpfen, schmoren, braten, auftauen... usw. Sie sind geeignet für alle Herdarten, außer Induktion. Kaufentscheidung für mich war damals wie jetzt, dass Glaskeramiktöpfe keine Metalle enthalten und abgeben. Also hervorragend geeignet für Allergiker. Die Töpfe sind so universell einsetzbar und ich verstehe nicht, warum sie so selten angeboten werden. Praktisch ist auch, dass der Topf vom Herd direkt in die Mikrowelle oder in den Backofen gestellt werden kann, zum weitergaren oder zum nochmaligen Erwärmen. Auch kann der Topf direkt aus dem Kühlschrank oder dem Gefrierschrank im Microwellenherd, Backofen oder auf der Herdplatte verwendet werden. Ich möchte die Töpfe nicht mehr missen.

Ich habe die Empfehlung aus einer Zeitschrift, in der ausgesagt wurde, das Brot in einem solchen Topf besser gelänge als in einem Automaten. Ja, richtig! Test bestanden. So kann man aber auch etwas im Topf anbraten, unmittelbar danach im Backofen überbacken oder weitergaren lassen, ohne dass ein lästiges Umfüllen von Nöten wäre. Klasse! Einziges Manko sind nur die Griffe, die natürlich miterhitzen.
