So awesome! Works great when you only have one available ethernet port coming out of the wall, but you need two. I used it to plug in a VOIP phone and a computer from a single wall port. The beauty is you don't need a separate power source for the splitter as long as your main switch is has POE enabled.

The small 3 Gigabit power over ethernet port switch by Nicgiga is made in PRC (china). I tested this small POE switch at the end of a 70 meter CAT6 run, and I was able to get full gigabit speed negotiated at both ends. I use the normal mode since I do not need the VLAN separation. The 250 meter mode limits the negotiated speed to 100Mbps. I was able to get 18 watts out of port one and daisy chain another POE switch for another 33 meter run (with gigabit speed negotiated end-to-end). I am not familiar with the Nicgiga brand, so I am not able to talk about durability. The description mentions 4kv lightning protection, and I do use this on an outdoor run, so I am curious to see how hardy this little switch will be. 4 stars

This is a great product, It's most useful for cameras and other low power devices, it spreads the load from a POE port on your switch, saving both cabling and ports. It's completely transparent and works perfectly.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The price is great. I use them to split poe camera lines to add a camera without having to pull a new line.

Works as advertised There is a deceptive ON/OFF switch on the front, you will want it OFF in most cases. It's for port isolation, ON disables data traffic to/from the POE-in port

These are great for support issues to provide a solution on PoE devices.

La idea es buena pero he comprado 7 unidades y se ha vuelto inservibles 4 unidades en menos de 1 mes. Esto ocurre cuando hay alguna falla electrica y al volver a conectarse, simpleme te se funden. Ha pasado con dos marcas distintas de switches POE y en distintos eventos, simplemente no funcionan.

Anche io leggo sempre le recensioni prima di un acquisto. 📦Contenuto della confezione: Il Poe extender arriva in una confezione semplice, anche troppo. Per fortuna gli imballaggi Amazon sono a prova di corriere. Dentro una piccola scatoletta troviamo l’extender e null’altro… d’altronde sinceramente si tratta di un oggetto destinato a chi sa cos’è e come si usa e , credo, mai e poi mai leggerebbe un manualetto che scrive cose scontate. L’aspetto del packaging è essenziale, ma va bene così. Bene ✅ 🔎Come si presenta il prodotto e caratteristiche: Si tratta di oggetto che, come dice il nome è un extender, cio è consente, su linee PoE, di estendere portata e numero di oggetti collegabili. Le linee PoE sono linee ethernet dotate anche di una alimentazione che consente di collegare a lunga distanza anche un numero elevato di componenti esempi classici sono gruppi di telecamere di un sistema di videosorveglianza o antenne alimentate per ottenere internet senza fili. Questi apparecchi utilizzano linee PoE. Bene, il nostro è un apparecchietto, privo di alimentazione perché la prende dalla linea, con una entrata e tre uscite, al quale quindi potrebbero essere collegate tre telecamere, oppure due telecamere ed una “estensione” un allungamento della linea. Appare ben fatto, destinato al montaggio su barra din oppure fissato al muro con dei tasselli. Ben fatto e versatile. Promosso ✅ 👨‍🏫 Breve test di laboratorio Visto che ho a disposizione un laboratorio e la relativa strumentazione ho condotto qualche prova, sinteticamente vi riporto i risultati: Test breve e soddisfacente, collegato ad un classico alimentatore PoE (da una parte esce il “normale” segnale ethernet dall’altro la linea alimentata, ho collegato, per prova, due apparecchi a mia disposizione: Una antenna che collega internet nella mia casa al mare, dove la linea “cablata” non arriva, ed una telecamera di sicurezza della casa medesima. Il tutto funziona egregiamente. Da remoto vedo cosa succede nella mia casa al mare. Molto bene ✅ ✅Pregi: - Funziona alla grande. ❌Difetti: - Un imballaggio un po' più protettivo non avrebbe guastato. Im Lieferumfang des PoE Extenders befindet sich neben dem Gerät selbst auch eine Betriebsanleitung. Der Extender hat insgesamt vier Ports: einen Eingangsport und drei Ausgangsports. Ich habe den PoE Extender erworben, um zwei entfernte IP-Kameras anzuschließen. Dank des Extenders muss ich nicht zwei separate Kabel über lange Distanzen zu den PoE-Kameras verlegen, sondern nur ein einziges Kabel vom Netzwerkanschluss zum Extender. Idealerweise platziere ich den Extender so, dass die Entfernung zu beiden Kameras minimal ist. Ein Kabel verbindet den Netzwerkanschluss mit dem Eingangsport des Extenders, und von den Ausgangsports führen dann zwei kürzere Kabel zu den einzelnen IP-Kameras. Dies reduziert die Notwendigkeit, lange Kabelstrecken zu jeder Kamera zu verlegen und vereinfacht somit die Installation. Der Extender entspricht dem IEEE 802.3at (PoE+)-Standard und kann bis zu 30 Watt am Eingangsport aufnehmen. Diese Leistung wird auf die Ausgangsports verteilt, wobei bei einem Port bis zu 25 Watt zur Verfügung stehen können. Meine beiden IP-Kameras benötigen jeweils 12 Watt, also insgesamt 24 Watt. Es ist daher nicht möglich, eine dritte IP-Kamera anzuschließen, ohne die Leistungsgrenze zu überschreiten. Ein weiterer Nachteil kann der Port-Isolation-Modus an den Ausgangsports sein, der verhindert, dass die angeschlossenen Geräte miteinander kommunizieren können. Diese Funktion ist positiv für die Netzwerksicherheit und kann laut Hersteller außerdem die Netzwerkleistung verbessern. Für meine IP-Kameras ist diese Einschränkung glücklicherweise nicht von Bedeutung. Insgesamt funktioniert der PoE-Extender zuverlässig. Er versorgt beide IP-Kameras mit Strom und stellt eine stabile Datenverbindung her. Der einzige wesentliche Nachteil ist die begrenzte Eingangsleistung nach dem IEEE 802.3at (PoE+)-Standard, die bei Verwendung aller Ausgangsports zu Engpässen führen kann. Eine Unterstützung des IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++ oder 4PPoE)-Standards hätte mehr Flexibilität geboten. Trotz dieses Mankos erfüllt der Extender seine Funktion ausgezeichnet, weshalb ich ihm eine Fünf-Sterne-Bewertung gebe.
