• Style, brand and version: -Brand: Docolor -Style: Makeup brush set •Overall Impression: -This is a very nice set of good, dense makeup brushes in a soft synthetic, cruelty free fiber bristle. -You get all the brushes you need to do a full face and eye look. It’s a well curated and well thought out set. It has a good variety of brushes that function well for their purpose. -It has a uniquely shaped brush (labeled 14 on the handle) (the booklet says it for brows), that is in a style you rarely see, that works very well for small, focal areas of concealer. • What’s Included: -1 Instruction booklet, detailing the brush types, and uses -1 carrying pouch (note it is open with no brush holders, it’s a pouch not a brush roll or case) (note it has a strap and sphere closure) (faux leather style) -1 silicone brush cup cleaner with a finger grip sphere on the base -1 beauty blender style sponge (feels a lot like Real Techniques sponges in texture and softness) -Brush guards (netting style, not for every brush though) -Plastic cover case for the fan brush -16 different (no repeat styles) make brushes for face, eyes, brows. You can easily do a full face and eye makeup look with just this kit. • Size: -Long, full sized brush handles, not short or travel sized. •Uses: -Note: not every brush is listed for each purpose, but you can use this set alone for these purposes, you may have to repurposed some brushes for dual use though. -Foundation, concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, contour, highlighter, eye-shadow, eye liner, brow powder (or shaping), mascara lash de-clumping and separating (lash spoolie) • Pros-what I liked and what worked well: -The brushes are very well made. The handles are very sturdy and feel good in the hand. (Note they are pointed and tapered,not flat, they won’t sit upright in a brush holder with the pointed end.) -The handles have the brand logo and brush number printed on them (but not the brush style and use). -The metal ferrules are thick and well made. -The bristles are synthetic, cruelty free and are very soft and the brushes are dense. They remind me of some of the softer Real Techniques brushes (especially the specialty ones outside the main line with the softer, fluffier bristles, a bit like synthetic goat hair brushes) and some of the Bueart sets (which I also love). -The brushes are well shaped with the right shape, density, length for each use. They work well for each use. -If you like natural (these are synthetic, non natural) goat hair brushes, these are very much like the soft, fluffy but dense texture of goat hair brushes (but are synthetic). It’s a great alternative for natural goat hair brushes. -They wash and dry well. They don’t shed during use or during or after washing. They don’t have any dye run from the bristles. -It’s a well thought out and well curated set with all you need to do a full face and eye look. -Good extras with the case, sponge, brush cleaner and brush rolls. -Has no unpleasant scent to any of it. If you’ve found other brush sets to have some scent upon initial use, before washing-you’ll be pleased with this set. It has no scent to it at all, on any of the items even before washing with no airing out. -Unique and attractive color story with the blue and pink gradient brushes with color accents on the tips of the bristles. • Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well: -The brushes don’t have the use printed on the handle, only the brush number (refer to the booklet). -The case is not a brush roll but a loose case (brushes will be loose in it) and the closure (faux leather strap and tiny sphere closure, like a button) is very difficult to open and close. • Tips & Thoughts: -I would not store these or any brushes loose in the provided case. It has no brush loops and and is not a brush roll. I’d fear brush damage. It’s like storing them loose in a makeup bag, it has no brush protection.

This set comes with so many brushes, I don't know what to do with them all! haha. I like that it comes with a little booklet to guide you on how to use each brush. I am no stranger to makeup, but have always been pretty minimal with my application, so a lot of it is new to me. The bristles are very, very soft. It is pleasant on your delicate facial skin. The brushes are pretty and the colors are lovely. I enjoy the textured cup to encourage cleaning the brushes --makes it a breeze. I did like the sponge a lot because it was my first one and I absolutely loved the smooth coverage I got from it, but.... my dog ate it. Anyway, I am very happy with these. I would feel good about recommending these to others who do basic makeup.

This 16 piece makeup brush set is surprisingly high quality for a bargain price. The brushes are super soft. The handles are made of wood with a metal tube connecting to the bristles. I can’t think of any type of brush that is missing from this set. Also included as a bonus are a makeup sponge and a brush cleaning “egg”. I wear mostly natural/neutral makeup, so I haven’t yet tried creating dramatic smokey eyes, but I’m sure these brushes would be excellent for any makeup look. These brushes come in the cutest packaging with a little PU leather brush bag for easy storage and traveling. This set would also make a cool gift. I’d be stoked if someone gifted me these brushes. Recommend!

So these makeup brushes are okay, but not the best quality. I had some shedding from multiple brushes and they’re just not as soft as I’m used to. These are also a bit on the pricey side per brush. If you do just the 16 brushes, it’s $2.81/brush. If you do the 16 brushes, the sponge and brush cleaning pad it’s about $2.50/item(not including the brush case). I’ve gotten some really good, outstanding quality brushes on here for about $1.50/brush. So these are definitely on the pricier side. They’re not terrible, they blend out makeup fine, they’re just a bit scratchy/pokey if that makes sense. And I’ve had some shed. All in all, they’re okay. I’m just not entirely sure I can 100% recommend.

These brushes came in a cute box, and each brush was individually wrapped very nicely. The colors are super cute, and the brushes themselves super soft. This could be an issue for people who prefer sturdier brushes that pick up more product but I feel like this could be a great beginner or intermediate set. I love the brush cleaning pad and the instructions! The instructions detail what every brush is and what it is used for and how to use it. The sponge feels a little cheap. All of the items fit nicely into the included bag with room for a few extra if you need it. Compared to the brushes I’ve gotten from Ipsy, these are not as high-quality so I feel like the price might be a little steep.
