Well worth the read at all levels
This was an enjoyable read from start to finish. Even for an intermediate Chess player like myself, I enjoyed reacquainting myself with the basic rules and starting blocks for playing Chess. In the early sections I was even reminded of some tiny nuggets I had forgotten about. The book gets a little more detailed as it goes on and introduces a very useful interaction feature via QR codes on the pages. I had already learned a lot about Chess opening on YouTube before I purchased this book, and my knowledge was solidified and backed up by some strong theory and useful examples provided by Levy, who is amusing throughout and anyone who has seen his videos on YouTube will recognise his unique tone of voice when reading this book. However, a stronger understanding of openings are not the only advantage of reading this. As the book develops, so does your knowledge of the mid-game and endgame strategies which are so often disregarded by those trying to improve their Chess game. Learning about endgame theory was a new thing for me but it has solidified by thinking when playing Chess online - I now have a greater understanding of how to close out Chess games and my understanding of moves has improved significantly - some moves which I previously thought of as unimportant or were just being made for the sake of it towards the end of a game. Ultimately this is a good read for Chess enthusiasts of all levels. Anyone who plays should always keep their mind active with a bit of theory and this book is perfect for that. Levy is a very useful teacher and caters for all levels of Chess player. From beginner to expert there is something for you here and plenty to learn from his priceless experience and tactical nouse. A welcome addition to my bookcase, many thanks.

Worth buying twice....so I did!
When is a book more than just a book?? When it's also an entire chess learning platform. How to Win At Chess is an incredible chess resource. Most chess books are hard to navigate, difficult to read, and almost always require a physical chess board while reading. What do we want? To look at our phones!! When do we want it? All the time!!! Let's face it, most of us can't read a book without stopping to look at our phones every few minutes. What Levy has done with How to Win At Chess is nothing short of remarkable. Each chapter is written in short, easy to digest segments, and at the end of each one there's a QR code to jump straight into practicing the skills on your phone or laptop. Combining a physical book with a digital learning platform make learning chess 1000x more efficient. - Book contents 10/10 - Clear simple language 10/10 - Practical guide to playing 10/10 - Skill improvement 10/10 - A great excuse to stare at my phone 11/10 I liked the book so much I bought the hardback and the kindle version so, I've always got it with me. Seriously, buy the book, become a better chess player.

Looks a great book for chess but,
The book is claimed to be used but in mint condition. See picture but this is not what I would term in mint condition. The book however, is very a good introduction for learning to play chess. Therefore 4/5 for the book. 1/5 for Amazon warehouse
