Recommended!
This thing works SO slick on 3" SCH40 PVC. Snap it onto the end of the pipe (takes a bit of force), then a single revolution removes 90% or more of the OD's burr, leaving a beautiful, consistent chamfer. I am a novice, so I make two passes, but hardly anything is removed on the second pass. This is a very nice bit of kit, it surpassed my expectations.

Reed tools are great!
Perfect bevel / deburr tool for 1" thru 3". Even works on 4", but takes a strong hand.

Must have!
Easy to use must have deburring tool. No huge mess like the drill attachment type.

What a great tool to have.
Quality construction, nice, heavy duty, cutting edge. Works great, is a must have if you’re working with PVC or ABS pipe.

Meets ASTM standard for beveling
I am a pool contractor for over 40 years. I teach classes and provide training for pros in my industry on pool and spa plumbing. I personally use this tool for the correct bevel requirement as per the ASTM standard. Beware of knocks off as they may not provide the same bevel angle. This is an easy tool to use and yes it may be expensive, but you will get the correct the results. You can use a 1/2" drive ratchet if preferred but I do not. I highly recommend this product for any pro assembling PVC pipe for any application. Works on ABS and CPVC pipe as well.

Fantastic deburring tool!!
Best debugging tool there is. Most plumbers refuse to bevel pvc pipe. I am a plumber whom believes in proper procedure leads to a proper job. This tool takes seconds to use and allows joints to slip into full engagement in fittings.

Works well and convenient, but expensive and so are the blades
This is a great convenient tool but I took away a star because it's expensive and so are the replacement blades. The lowest price I can find for a replacement blade on the internet is $32 from KSC direct ($20+$12 shipping). I'm using this tool on 4" PVC Sch 40 which has a wall thickness of about 1/4". As another reviewer said it is kind of cumbersome to work on large pipe. Once you have it on you have to kind of push it down slightly by the blade as you turn to ensure it takes off a consistent amount. It removes a continuous strip of plastic and the chamfer is uniform if you do that. There is a half-inch socket attachment on the back of the tool, and I've used it a few times to turn with my ratchet but the tool really needs to be held on the pipe so mostly I've turned by hand (fortunately the blade is still sharp enough). So far I've done about a dozen pieces. I can see how if you are a professional doing more frequent work you might want an electric tool. I'd like to mill my own blades or order custom cut blades (like from a fabricator) to get Reed out of the equation so if anyone knows how I can do that please leave a comment telling me. A blade for this should only cost a dollar or two as far as I'm concerned. On the plus side the existing blade looks like it may be reversible, so when I wear this one down I'll try flipping it over. Update 2016-06-28: I am using vise-grip style chain clamps to clamp down the 4" PVC when I cut it. I've discovered it is easier to do the chamfering while the pipe is still clamped. Attached is a picture of what the tool looks like after a rotation.

Item is worth every penny.
It’s a little tight when near joists, but otherwise this product is amazing. If you work with drainage a lot this buy is a no brainer. Dry fitting everything becomes much easier, not to mention, being able to bottom fittings out all the way, making measurements much easier. Robust build, easy blade changeout, they’ve made it much easier than using the ole grinder wheel or a file.

This is perfect for deburring plastic pipe. It’s pricey, but works better than any of its competitors. I could use a drill attachment but then I’d have to carry around a drill all day. Don’t opt for one of the cheaper brands offered on Amazon; pipe doesn’t fit in them properly.

Works on all North American pipe sizes measured by inside diameter. Chamfers very nicely and blade is sized to last. Definitely recommend if you want to install pipe the proper way!

Debbie and I are now in a work relationship. She’s there for me when I need her and she always cuts my pipe well. If you’re a plumber this is a must have tool.

Great tool but expensive for what it is. Nobody els makes one I guess so they can charge whatever. Mine needed adjustment after a couple months but with the screws on the bottom it tightened up no problem
