Best for light to mid weight, don’t use on heavyweight
Works on: light to mid weight woven fabrics, such as lightweight silk charmeuse. Works on: super lightweight fabric like 9 momme silk georgette or lightweight silk organza. Don’t use on: thicker weight fabrics like 40 momme silk crepe like I did because it leaves behind holes if you take out the stitching. Don’t use on: heavyweights like denim, leather, or knits, as it will break quickly with denim, rip the leather in a way that leaves a larger hole than just a regular needle, and rip the knit fabric yarns (only use needles that are for knits with knits, they have duller needle tips that separate the yarns of the fabric rather than break them and cause running) Machine: used these on my Juki TL-2000 Semi Industrial, work perfectly. I also tried them on my Juki Air Thread serger and they worked great.

Fast shipping. These Schmetz size 70 Microtex needles are impossible to find at brick and mortar stores and I’ve been looking for this specific needle in this size, forever! The price for the quantity is great, so I feel like I got a great deal for a trusted product!

Great for cottens
Sharps are exactly what they say sharp to penetrate cottons or woven fabrics, the 70 would be for cottons, and the 90s for canvas, high number for thicker fabrics. I quilt and piecing is best with 70 or 80 microtex. I quilt with 90. I paper piece with 90. Good luck and happy sewing! Also 40 or 50 weight thread is good with sharp needles.
