Our youngest has Down syndrome and we used this spoon to help him learn to eat, swallow, and use his mouth better. His OT and PT highly recommended this spoon and if you feel your child needs something like this, I cannot speak any higher on any other spoons over this spoon.

Received on time and exceeded my expectations. I bought this to assist my child with learning to swallow which we haven't tried yet, but it has been an EXCELLENT learning tool in helping her to hold things. Before we purchased thia she would not try and hold ANYTHING, but the vibrations make her WANT to hold it. Not to mention it just takes 1AAA battery if I'm not mistaken and doesn't require and special made batteries.

My special needs granddaughter uses these in her sessions with her Speech Therapist. She has oral aversion. She likes the way it feels in her mouth. It encourages her to try and do it herself. Speech Therapist loves it also. Great buy for the money.

All the parts arrived; it came with a battery. I’ll use it for my daughter’s therapy sessions.

Nice therapy tool. Vibration is not too intense where it scares the kids. I think this better than the zvibe just a bit more pricey
