Elijah Anderson I was the big man on campus. Everything in my life was going exactly according to plan until a wrecking ball reminded me that there were more important things than touchdowns, booze, and pretty girls. In the most turbulent time of my life, I felt lost and defeated until the moment my eyes landed on her . Sophia Summers is everything I never knew I wanted. A sweet shot of sunshine in the unrelenting hurricane. Thereโs just one little problem. She doesnโt trust in love, and she definitely doesnโt trust me. But Iโm a patient man, and sheโs worth waiting for. Soon sheโll realize that I want every part of herโthe darkness, the light, and the shadows in between. Iโm already hers, whether she likes it or not. No returns, no refunds. This is the first novel in the Crystal Bay University series by Hailey Dickert. Return Policy can be read as a standalone; however, since Sophia is a side character from Dickert's first novel The Sister Between Us , it is suggested to read that first for the best reader experience. Review: Elijah is the dreamiest! - Sophia Summer is all grown up and off to college. We first met Sophia in The Sister Between Us. You do not have to read The Sister Between Us to be able to read this one but it will provide some valuable backstory and context into Sophia's life. Sophia is ready for a fresh start away from her toxic ex boyfriend and to find herself separate from her past and her family. On the night of her graduation, she meets an attractive stranger that she connects with on a deeper level and shares things with him she has never shared before. Elijah is in town for one night and happens upon Sophia in the woods when he is looking for a place to think. He finds it easy to talk to her and they share one perfect moment together before going their separate ways. Fast forward, Elijah finds Sophia in a bar at college and their epic love story begins. Elijah is the dreamiest. He and Sophia are the perfect match. I loved this book so much and continue to think about it. The way these character were written with their flaws, imperfections, tragic pasts, and desire to overcome what life throws at them was very real. Elijah and Sophia's relationship had a natural progression to it that reminded me of a true college romance. They start as strangers, then friends, spend more time together and the attraction wins out before they cross the line into lover and relationship territory. I love how understanding Elijah is and how patient he is with Sophia needs to stand on her own two feet. There is an equality and balance to their relationship that is couple goals. Despite outside forces trying to tear them down and to tear them apart, they find themselves and peace within each other to overcome everything set to destroy them. This book is inspirational and full of so much love that you will not want to put it down. I cannot wait to see what else happens in this universe and hopefully get more sneak peeks at Elijah and Sophia living there happily ever after. Read if you like - Football College Romance - Strangers to Friends to Lovers - He Falls First - She Tutors Him - Steamy scenes - Traumatic Past - Overcoming Trauma Review: Great Read! - I really enjoyed this spin-off of The Sister Between Us by Hailey Dickert. Return Policy follows Sophia Summers as she starts college and struggles with grief and tries to navigate through traumatic experiences. The chance encounter with Elijah quickly turns into friends and more when they end up going to the same college. I love that Elijah fell first, and hard. This book has all the spice, cute little nicknames, and has great side characters. I canโt wait to read the next book in the series!! I love that the author uses real life events , even if sad and traumatic, and really focuses on how they affect people and doesnโt just blow over the fact that something happened to this person. Itโs part of the story and I love that about her writing.

blew me away
I am gone. Dead. Deceased. For Elijah Anderson. Return Policy is 100% one of my top reads this year. I donโt even know how to write this review because I really feel like you need to go in somewhat blind to this book beyond the blurb. So, Iโm going to just point out some of the things I loved: Elijah is perfection. Save a horse ride a football playing, cinnamon roll, protective, STFUATTDLAGG cowboy ๐ซ Sophia goes through so much and her strength is beautifully conveyed. Check TWs. The banter - top notch. The pop culture references - perfectly placed. I was laughing and smiling non-stop the entire first half. The second half gets so much deeper. There is still the fun, sexy element, but the character development really shines through. Yes, I cried. There is cross over between this and The Sister Between Us, but I have not read that book, and I had zero issues, so donโt let deter you from reading this one first. โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ ๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ

3.75!
I was getting frustrated with how slow the plot was taking when it came for the other shoe to drop. But I can say that I really did like the story. The grief is big piece of a story, so keep that in mind while reading, and there is a underlining traumatic experience that is bring up. Other than that, everything is so really nice to me!

Elijah & Sophia
Sophia is Chloe & Jake's baby sister from the first book. She's struggling as she realizes she's the same age as when Chloe died and now is experiencing things Chloe never got to. She's also struggling with a huge secret her ex-boyfriend is forcing her to keep. Elijah is also struggling with his own demons and they meet by chance the night of Sophia's graduation. Sophia doesn't even learn his name, much less have a way of getting in touch with him. Luckily, they're both at CBU together and she runs into him right away. Elijah is determined to make her his but Sophia is hesitant. She's lost so much in her life - her sister, her mother, her brother when he went off to school - and she's carrying a heavy load of guilt thanks to her ex. Elijah wears down her resistance by being there for her consistently. Further complicating things, Elijah's birth father is Mark Danvers, who Sophia's dad and brother aren't fond of. Thankfully, Elijah wins them over. When Elijah brings Sophia home to meet his mother for Christmas, she learns about the demons he's been facing, and it makes their relationship even stronger. They make it through another difficult time when Elijah has to face off against Sophia's ex at their college bowl game. Bit of course they make it to their HEA.

I can assure you, the world is not ready for Elijah Anderson ๐๐ฅน๐ฅต
4.5/5 โญ๏ธ Holy freaking moly, this book! It has me feeling all the warm and fuzzy feelings! ๐ฅน๐ This book has been a highly anticipated June release for me, and Iโm so grateful to have received an advanced copy. And let me tell you, this book has a hold of me start to finish. And when I got to the epilogue I was not ready for these twoโs story to come to an end. IT IS SO GOOD!!! ๐ We met sassy little Sophia in The Sister Between Us and I loved her from the word go. Now sheโs all grown up and off to college. Elijah and Sophia meet after Sophiaโs graduation and hit it off instantly. Only problem, they didnโt share info. Sophia leaves not even knowing his name. But as fate would have it (and maybe a little nudge from their guardian angels ๐ค) they both land at Crystal Bay University come fall. Elijah needs Sophiaโs help to pass his classes to keep his scholarship and place on the football team. Slowly but surely these friends turn into lovers and their love story is so bright and beautiful. ๐๐ป Elijah is such a cinnamon roll, golden retriever. The way he cares for Sophia is just next level. And some of his corny pickup lines had me rolling. But donโt be fooled, the mouth on that man is just ๐ฅต I can assure you, the world is not ready for Elijah Anderson ๐๐ฅน๐ฅต Sophia is sassy, stubborn, and headstrong and has overcome a lot of trauma in her life. She has trouble being vulnerable and letting people into her circle. I loved so much about this book! I loved the characters. I loved the love these two shares. I loved their banter. I loved all the texting. I loved that both of their families played such a large roll in their story. I loved that they read smutty romance novels out loud during car trips. I loved watching these two fall in love - it was so beautiful and so pure and the emotions are so real. I loved the fact there was no third act breakup, it shows these two were end game from the start ๐ฅน This book is beautiful. The topics this book covers are so real and raw. It was beautiful to watch how the characters worked thru the trauma theyโd both endured - individually and together. I also love the mental health representation in this book. ๐ I also fell in love with the supporting character in this book and cannot wait for the next installment in the Crystal Bay series. I love Sageโs lack of filter, Noahโs headstrong personality, and everything about Theo Schroeder! He is top tier best friend. Loyal, protective, steady, always provides some comic relief or forcing you out of our comfort zone. I fell in love with Theo in this book and cannot wait to watch him (hopefully ๐ค) get his HEA in the future (especially after he told Elijah it was never going to happen ๐). If I had a crystal ball I would guess some of the next couples in the upcoming books to be: Sage and Julian, Noah and Charlie, and maybe Theo and Abby??? ๐ Regardless of who the next books in this series follows, I cannot wait to be in the front row watching their journey unfold. โบ๏ธ This book comes out June 23rd and youโre going to want to read this one! If you havenโt met Sophia Summers yet, meet her in The Sister Between Us today! Hailey, thank you so much for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. It is truly beautiful and so well written. These characters are simply amazing. And their stories will forever stick with me. ๐ป๐

Unexpected
After reading the sister between us. I thought i knew what to expect. This follows the youngest sibling from the sister between us. Hints of her story were shown in the book as well. I guess those hints had me thinking this book was going to just be a very sweet rom com. I was shocked by the emotional turmoil this book caused. It's hard to expand on that without spoiling the book. I would warn that if you're in the thick of a loss, this book could be too heavy and should be revisited. The love and devotion in it are all the feels. I definitely recommend and hope to see Sage and Charlie get their stories, too!

5โญ๏ธs. Everyone needs this book on their TBR.
Where do I even begin? Yโall, I devoured this book!!! Itโs a spin off of Haileyโs first book โThe Sister Between Usโ and book #1 in her Crystal Bay University series. The angst and spice are top tier! Haileyโs writing makes you feel ALL the feelings!! I canโt say enough good things about this book. Everyone should have it on their TBR.

absolutely adore this book
This was such a beautifully written book that had me laughing , then almost in tears - honestly an amazing read with lots of hot AF steamy scenes. The characters have depth and they really pulled on my heart strings. Their individual past trauma was unique and gut wrenching. I adored their banter and the text messages were a brilliant touch. Overall a fantastic book, canโt wait to read more from this author in the future

What rollercoaster ride that was!
I was an instant Hailey Dickert fan the moment I read The sister between us but this book was another level and solidified what truly fantastic author she is! This book had everything from the emotions their grief brought, joy when their love blossomed, laughter of their antics especially when with their friends, constant anxiety over what was going to happen, anticipation for how the story would unfold and come to it's conclusion and hot under the collar at the amazing spice. This book had everything but was so well paced and the growth of the characters was there as well. I would honestly highly recommend this to anybody who loves Sports romance as the content of football was really good as well the romance and anybody who just loves a really good love story. Elijah was perfection in a mmc and swoon just didn't cover it and Sophia was so lovable and getting to see everything come together for her was so good.
