High-Output Power in a Compact Frame
If you're looking for an amplifier that punches well above its weight class without breaking the bank, the Recoil DI1200-4 is a standout choice. It’s a high-efficiency Class-D powerhouse that delivers impressive output while maintaining a small enough footprint to fit under a seat or in a tight trunk. Performance: The power delivery is clean and consistent. It’s rated for 150W x 4 at 4-Ohms, and it actually hits those numbers, providing plenty of headroom for high-end components. Because it’s Class-D, it runs remarkably cool even during long, loud sessions, putting less stress on your vehicle's charging system. Build & Features: Compact Design: Small chassis, but feels heavy-duty and well-built. Versatile Tuning: The adjustable High-Pass and Low-Pass filters make it easy to dial in your mids or even bridge it to run a couple of subwoofers. Clean Signal: As long as you set your gains correctly, the sound is crisp and dynamic. Pros: Incredible wattage-per-dollar value. Very small form factor for the amount of power it produces. Reliable thermal management (doesn't easily overheat). Cons: The terminal blocks are a bit tight if you're using heavy-gauge wire. Industrial, no-frills look (if aesthetics are your main priority). Final Verdict: The DI1200-4 is a beast for anyone building a high-power system on a budget. It provides the muscle needed for a loud, clear soundstage without the "big brand" price tag. Just be sure to use a quality 4-gauge OFC wiring kit to give it the current it needs!

This one is gold.
I have this amp powering an 18” quad stack Audiopipe and 4 door speakers. Hasn’t quit. Hasn’t overheated. It’s ridiculously good, so much so that people with much more expensive equipment are left scratching their heads at how loud and clear this thing gets. 2 gauge copper wire and a bolted ground are required at 100 amp draw. This is about as big of an amp as your factory alternator is happy with. Keep your ground short, your terminals properly crimped, and your RCA cables at least a foot away from power cables and you won’t have noise you don’t want. This little amp is hitting mid 140s db on HALF its power. Ridiculous…

Budget Door Power King!
I'm extremely impressed with this amp. Sound quality to me is top notch. I've tested 3 different amps on my test rig. The Recoil is by far the most power per dollar and best sounding of the 3. Building a custom boom box for my mom and I'm pretty sure this beast will be the audio power source. My ONLY complaint is the amp does run fairly warm, but that is easily fixed with a computer / boat fan. I tried the 400 watt model of the popular cheap amps from Brazil. Way too much background hiss compared. I still can't believe it's smaller than my hand, yet puts out the power. Installation is a breeze of you know what you're doing. This amp does make enough power for smaller subs if you want to use it for that. It made rated plus at every ohm load according to the amp dyno. Has no issues moving the 10 in this setup.

Sounded good at lower powers. Blew a subwoofer and then a 6.5" Speaker in separate instances
I had a really positive first impressions of this speaker. However, recently, while listening pretty loudly, but without any distortion in my subwoofer, it blew a voice coil. This was disappointing, but a just thought the issue had to do with me going too hard (even though the subwoofer was rated for more RMS watts than the amplifier was rated at). Then just today I was playing with amplifier gain settings. Again I was playing the speakers loud, louder than would be a comfortable listening level, and again without any warning of distortion it blew a 6.5" speaker. This cheap amplifier has suddenly become the most expensive amplifier in the world. Would not recommend it.

Great amp, used in multiple installs with zero issue, great value
Absolutely love these amps. I’ve bought 6 various recoil amps, and been impressed with all of them. The size, power, price, is unbeatable. The 1200.4 has more than enough power to run a set of components off 2 channels, and a healthy 12 or pair of 10’s bridged off the rear channels. Would be the cherry on top if it had remote knob for the rear channels, but I’ve been using a cheap inline rca knob to give sub control. No failures, played for hours. Will buy again for the next project.

Not sure
I installed this amp, 4-5 days worked, then it started smoking, there was a clunk clunk deep sound not from volume control as it kicked on. Burnt electrical smell and smoke from underneath amp. Never got hot the few days I had it installed, I didn't push it hard. Yet after not right after I tried it again it works with the clunking sound but got hot. Onboard fuses didn't pop either. I only bridged 3&4 channels sub infinity 10" is 350 rms 4 ohm rated to take 800 watts. Plan was to hook up sub and add my mids and highs in other 2 channels later as budget permitted. And later upgrade box and subs the plan was to grow into the amp. Not a fan of the spade terminals (4 gauge) Now using old fosgate punch 500.1 (250rms @ 4 ohm from the late 90's), doesn't have the quite the power but clean little amp it's ugly and had some moisture from something but still slams. I really liked the compact size and heavy little sucker stayed cool, not a fan of the clamp style spade terminals. I'd say get the fancier 4 gauge screw-in spade terminals (screw wire into the spade not sure if you can use a ferrul) for power and ground. Plan your wiring and amp rack really well. Unsure of longevity, perhaps the 800x4 would have been better but for $10 more get the 1200.4 right? Perhaps I had too small of load and amp was beast mode and something had to give inside?

Recoil is where it's at
While this amp is screw type speaker signal inputs it is one of the best and loudest amps I've ever had in my vehicle. It never gets hot and consistently supplies the power required to push my component setup. It has blown away my old amp without any question. Much louder and crystal clear. My previous amp was a 4 channel ab amp and this class dnis killing it! Way more efficiency and multiple tests putting Recoil ahead of several other best selling amps on the market. They price their equipment fairly and they do not gouge their customers for profits. I appreciate companies like Recoil and have been supporting their brand since I reentered car audio because they have sexy amps and just work.

Doing what its supposed to
Seems to be going great so far, running 4 300w speakers, not had any distorting or pops etc good and clean. easy install with good instructions depending on requirements. No cables for the cost seems great.

Qualität minderwertig. DI 1200.4
Nach 4 Stunden Laufzeit kam aus Kanal 1 und 2 kein Ton mehr. Kanal 3 und 4 liefen normal weiter.Ein anderer Verstärker lief bei unveränderten Einstellungen tadellos.
