I bought this for a 65 gallon aquarium (light load) with a 30 gallon stump. For me, it was just to big as in skimming wise. It fit very well in my stump. It is extremely quite and looked great. It's very easy to disassemble and clean. I wish it wouldn't have been too big for my aquarium. I only had it for a couple days though and the bubbles didn't even reach the top. But I would recommend for others definitely.

This is the BEST skimmer I have ever used. This thing is a work horse! Very easy to tune and once it gets going it does the job!!

I had a different skimmer before from Aqua-vitro (needed daily maintenance). I constantly had to fight the skimmer. I got this, put it in the sump and I would say it took almost two weeks to really break in and remove waste (expected break in time). I LOVE it! When this skimmer kicks the bucket, I will buy it again.

I've purchased $500 plus skimmers that aren't this solid, easy to use, and effective. Easiest skimmer to use in 10 years of reefing.

I bought this skimmer because the Varios series pumps that Reef Octopus uses in many of its larger skimmers are fantastic. They're the quietest pumps I've found (I've tried a dozen brands over the years) and are now all I use for return pumps. This skimmer is too small for a varios, but I had high hopes RO would use a similarly high quality, silent, pump for this skimmer. They do not. It's the loudest skimmer I've ever used. The pump emits a loud, low hum, even when not in the skimmer and just suspended in water, touching nothing. It might be a quality control issue for my unit, but I don't tend to cut manufacturers that kind of slack when they are charging a price premium, like for this product. I can't comment on its effectiveness, since I can't run this one anywhere in the house.

Skims like crazy and without a doubt dead simple. Super happy with this skimmer. I purchased this for a large frag tank and it works great. I was a little worried at first not finding a ton of reviews or info but I would highly recommend this skimmer for your tank.
