For assembling a cage or something similar with wire mesh, this set works great. It has all the items needed to attach sides together. The other popular option is to use hog rings. That option seems to be a little cheaper per ring and it is a little quicker per clamp made. But the rings are much looser after connected. This could be a good thing if you want something to move. But there is something that feels a bit better when the joined sides don't wiggle. I personally like this type of clamp much better for building cages and such.

Hard to bend

We have lots of rabbits and chickens so we have to build cages quite often. We wouldn’t be able to build the cages without these things. Works great but hard to clamp in 1/4” or smaller rabbit cages. Lots of clips and pliers work as they should. We have several pairs of these and they are a must have but building cages and doing floors in chicken houses.

The price for this was the driving force for buying. The quality is why I’m writing the review. The clips are the same as you can buy in the box store for quadruple the price of this kit and the pliers same. So great price for great quality. Highly recomend.

Really slow to crimp. Most other tools will crimp in one smooth motion. These did not. Took multiple crimps to finally close it. Thus each crimp took 30 seconds.....way too slow. The only reason they got 2 starts is the crimps held well. Need a better tool

Not as quick as the single jaw type but crimps well. Time to get wires together to apply crimp is a little boogery with this type of crimper. W. O. B.

Okay the bad first…. I bought these to attach the corners of a quail pen together that has hardware cloth. The spacing on hardware cloth does not allow the pliers to crimp these the way they are designed. However if you were building a cage out of stiff wire (say 2x3”) then these are awesome. Or if you have a wire cage needing repair then these are great. The clips are stainless and once you turn them correctly in the plier tool it is a breeze to use. Would buy again and would recommend.

I have used these for joining rolls of chicken wire fencing around our chicken run. They give a professional result. Amazing value for money.

These J clip pliers are garbage! They don’t fold the clips you need bend first to kinda get them into shape and they still don’t go. I need buy real J clip pliers now😔 don’t waste your money here Too much effort and they still turn out wrong and loose

Pliers are bulky, have to modify to go through mesh. Clips are sticking to pliers… overall pliers and clips after grinding modifications gets 5*****
