This is the first Kindle I've ever owned so I can't say much about it other than I am extremely happy with my purchase! This refurbished Kindle looks like a brand new one. It was very easy to set up and get started with downloading ebooks. I love how there is a brightness adjuster, warmth adjuster, and a dark mode which is something I'm probably going to use all the time. Navigating through the menus was pretty easy to figure out and swiping the pages back and forth work great too. I haven't read a book on this yet but I definitely will soon. It feels really light in my hands too. I feel like this is a great device to own if you want to either start getting into reading like I am or if you are already a reader. This model has amazing battery life from what I can see. I hope this thing lasts me a while.

I have had this kindle for over 3 years now without a single problem! In February, I knocked a lit candle over, onto my kindle and the melted wax got inside the charging port. Scraped it out and it still works. Just today, a Dr Pepper exploded in my work bag and the liquid got all over the kindle and inside the charging port. I dried it out and she’s as good as new. 100% recommend!!

It took a really long time for me to decide I wanted to buy a Kindle. I finally bit the bullet when I was going to be on an international flight that would last about 15 hours. I am a Kindle convert now. I still love my physical books, but I use my Kindle for the physical books that I don’t wanna have in my library. Mostly romance novels. I took this on a vacation that was about 14 days long and I didn’t bring my Kindle charger and by the time I got home, I still had like 50% left of battery. The Kindle is great and if you’re on the fence, I highly recommend what I did and get the refurbished one. I did not see any issues with the Kindle, the warranty is the same as getting a brand new one. There were no scratches or dents, nothing was wrong with this Kindle. It was in perfect condition. Very happy with this purchase. Also, in case you weren’t aware, you can link your Libby app with your Kindle. So you could potentially never buy another book again and just use your local libraries books on your Kindle.

Much better than the old Paperwhites, and you couldn't tell it's used. Backlight is handy, screen is good quality and easy to read.

I purchased this reconditioned Kindle to replace a Kindle that was 7 years old and starting to "act up". I am thrilled with the quality of this Kindle, appreciate the new features, and found it affordable. It was easy to move my library from my old Kindle to the new one.

I always read before going to sleep, which until now has meant a light of some sort which keeps my wife from getting to sleep. I don't own a tablet and I don't like reading on a phone. Too small of a screen for my taste, and it's still too bright for her (light sleeper). My old Kindle had no backlight. It was so old it would no longer even download new books, so I had at least a dozen I couldn't even access. So, time for an upgrade. This has met all my needs. - Screen is lit but adjustable brightness - warm light option - darkmode to further reduce what little glare might exist and helps aged eyes see better - navigates by touchscreen instead of buttons that can wear out - contrary to prior reviews, you can categorize titles into lists for easier locating - bluetooth capability for listening if desired Lots of battery life, super fast set up that's only a few basic clicks. Get a decent case and it's a simple, straightforward means of accessing as many titles as you wish when and wherever. The refurbished model saved a few bucks and was as good as new for me. Very happy with this purchase.
