Drop the coin and get the prouduct
For a DIY this is a 10 star product. I hate Sanding Sheetrock, for that fact I dislike doing anything with sheetrock, it’s a mess, heavy to be around, but I digress, back to the review…. I always sand to much and my wife complains I have made a mess with dust (dust on everything..can you relate??) Problem solved with this tool. It’s fast, effortless, and attaching it up to a shop vac with a long hose to pull the dust made it “virtually” dustless with what I would call professional results. As I mentioned I have a long shop vac hose (ordered from Amazon) for my orange color box store shop vac which allowed me to place the shop vac outside and run the hose inside attaching directly to the sander. Sanded the kitchen remodel literally in minutes. It’s a tad heavy to hold for long periods if you are doing a ceiling, but again this is a DIY user not a person that does it for a living that would have a lightweight professional grade sander. It folds down nicely to place in its storage bag waiting for its next DIY job. I highly recommend if you order also get a long hose for your shop vac with multiple hose ends so you can clip on the proper size end onto the hose for a snug fit to the sander end. Yes it has a dust bag attached, but I didn’t use it so I can’t review how well it collected dust, personally I think the shop vac is a better option. Also order a selection of different grit sanding disks. The grit range I used was 180 to 220. The Sanding speed switch on the sander I didn’t go much higher than 2 or 3 (out of multiple speeds) and most times I used slow speed 1 to help ensue I wasn’t sanding to much or tearing the Sheetrock. It came out beautiful with professional results, I have been asked by neighbors “who did my Sheetrock work, because it looks great”. 😉. Top coat with a good primer, texture if you wish and use a high quality paint for professional results, but remember it all starts with the tape, mud and how well you sand. This tool sands well with 10 plus stars for this DIY user. Don’t go crazy with mud, remember, applying mud is an art, spread it out and float it. It a wall illusion that it’s all looks flat and consistent to the eye. Happy Sanding.

Knocked off hours of sanding skimcoat to 30 minutes.
We were paid to paint a company's new location, but the walls were so rough (wall paper removed and poor texture) we decided to skim coat every wall. I purchased this tool to sand 1400 square feet of walls. Using a manual sanding poll/pad would have taken hours. I was able to sand every large wall in the office in approximately 30 minutes. The vacuum caught about approximately 2-3 pounds of dust. Mask required: It was still a dusty job.Pros:- Easy to use- Comes with everything you need to start sanding immediately- It does vacuum the sanding dust- Came with a storage bag and the unit fits nicelyCons:- The vacuum didn't catch all of the dust- It's a bit cumbersome to have the dust bag hanging off your shoulder while using the sander- Gets heavy after 10 minutes of sandingAlthough it's not the Festool sander, it's 1/10 of the price for 80-90% of getting the job done. I assume the Festool unit vacuums better and weighs less. If I was sanding walls for a living, I'd most likely purchase the Festool, but for an occasional project, this was perfect.

This sander is worth buying, not perfect, but definitely good enough for the price.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:As a concept, a drywall sander is a total game changer for the most unpleasant aspect of drywalling a house. If you need one, definitely buy one. Don't do another drywall job without one. As for this tool: it's good and bad. The good: the tool seems sturdily built, it is powerful, the LED light is super helpful. The dust is minimal. The bad: it gets heavy after a bit. The light switch is in a bad location on the head, very hard to get to. The sander switch is in a bad location on the handle (I bump it off unintentionally too often). The instructions said it comes with an adapter for hooking it up to a shop vac. It doesn't. The handle can't be shortened, so in tight areas it gets awkward to use. I found that if I open the included dust bag, I can then shove the end of my shop vac hose into the tool's hose. It works much better with a shop vac. If I pace myself by only sanding for about 30 minutes at a time, the weight is less of an issue. I am glad I bought this tool.

Absolutely Great Tool! Excellent Investment.
This unit is sold as a drywall sander, but I used to sand our rear (covered) wood deck prior to sealing. It had been a few years since I had last worked it so there was a fair amount of weathering. I wasn't sure how well it would come out since the unit is designed to be applied against a vertical drywall and I would be using it against a horizontal wood floor. This was one of the less expensive units with an older technology motor (with graphite brushes). More expensive units have a brushless motor. I liked the fact that it had LED lights to illuminate the sanded area and especially the vacuum bag to collect the sanding dust. As it turned out, this sander worked absolutely great on my deck floor. They give you a number of sanding disks (100 & 220 grit), but for wood, I had to order 60 and 80 grit disks to expedite the effort. I was simply amazed at how well this sander did the job. It requires a little bit of patience. I did runs at 60, 80, 100 and 220 grit and the results were excellent. The motor has multiple speeds which is great. I had read comments that the vacuum did not work well, but it did for me. As the job progressed, some of the vacuum holes in the sander get clogged but that's normal; you just clean periodically. I'd say the dust vacuum performance was quite acceptable, and it collected most of the dust. Overall, I was very pleased with the purchase; the sander worked like a champ. Also nice is the duffel bag they give you for storage, plus an extra set of brushes once the ones in the unit wear out (which I suspect will take a long time). I would definitely recommend this product. I did not use for its main purpose, but I suspect it would do a great job on drywall too!

Blows dust everywhere, defective unit or misleading reviews?
The vacuum feature is completely non-functional. At maximum setting, airflow actually reverses and blows air FROM of the bag instead of blowing INTO it. At minimum setting, maybe 50% capture rate.Either my unit is defective or the positive reviews aren't telling the whole story. The real issue: this design mounts both the sanding motor AND vacuum motor at the head, making it significantly heavier and harder to control than tools with mid-handle motor placement and a rotating shaft. Now add the fact that the vacuum doesn't work - you're forced to run an auxiliary shop vac while dealing with an already unbalanced, head-heavy tool. The built-in vacuum motor just becomes dead weight making the job harder. It's also loud enough to require hearing protection. The frustrating part is the construction quality, fit and finish are actually impressive for a $100 tool. Everything feels solid and well-made - if only it actually worked as advertised. You're paying for integrated dust collection that either doesn't work or is assembled backwards, while carrying extra weight that serves no purpose. The glowing reviews make me question if I got a lemon or if something else is going on.

If it was working properly , I would say it is a bargain. It's still did the job.
It was alright, and I might have gave it 4 stars, maybe, even 5, if they're customer service cooperated more.It had a wobble like it was out of balance. It does not oscillate , so it was not that.It was clear that the metal base pad was out of balance. It took quite a while for customer service to reply to my email and an email is the only way to get ahold of them.I emailed them and told them exactly what was wrong and what I thought the correction would need to be. They took a very long time to get back with me. Then they asked some more basic questions and took a long time to get back with me again. Then they asked me to take a video of it While it was wobbling.By that time , I was already done with all the sheetrock work in my remodeled house , and I already packed it up and put it into storage , because I have tools everywhere , doing everything here myself.I decided I was not gonna unpack everything and mess around with them. I had way too many important things to do around the house to waste my time with them.

Must Buy! 100% worth it. Saves time and money.
Awesome product. I accidentally told my plaster guy to use the cheapest wall texture and chose to use Orange Peel. My wife wasn’t too happy once she saw it. I was forced to get this bad boy to remove all the texture and redo everything. This was a life saver. Although a little heavy, it worked wonders. Definitely saved me a lot of time and money.

Heavy duty and gets the job done quickly!
Heavy‑Duty DIY Lifesaver—Powerful, Precise & Clean!I recently used the MYTOL 7.2A drywall sander on a full ceiling job, and I’m really impressed:Powerful Motor & Adjustable Speeds — The 7.2‑amp copper motor rips through drywall with ease, and the 6‑level digital speed dial (900–1800 RPM) gives you fine control depending on material and finish .Integrated Vacuum & Dust Bag — The built‑in vacuum system and dust bag kept airborne dust to a minimum—while it isn't 100% perfect, cleanup was far easier than hand‑sanding .Bright LED Ring Light — Annular LEDs light up dark corners and ceiling edges, helping me catch imperfections before moving on .Foldable, Extendable Handle — The telescopic pole (57–67″) and foldable design made overhead sanding a breeze—no ladder needed.Complete Kit Included — Came with 12 sanding discs (various grits), hose attachments, dust bag, gloves, goggles, spare brushes, and a tote bag.Yes, it’s a bit hefty—you’ll feel it after 10 minutes—but that weight comes from solid build quality and a metal motor housing . For garage walls, ceilings, and drywall prep, this tool cut my sanding time in half and made cleanup much simpler. It’s a bargain for the features you’re getting.Bottom line: If you’re refurbishing rooms, tackling ceiling joints, or doing any large drywall prep, this MYTOL sander is a reliable, well-equipped workhorse. Highly recommended!
