I used this product for an LED striplight with sensor,works perfect.

I bought some mains powered headphones that came with a Euro powered wall unit with a two pin plug. This device adapts the two pin plug to fit a UK three pin wall socket. It fits the Euro plug really well, and can then be further secured by a screw at the bottom of the adaptor so that it will not come off. The device is also fused. The power unit with this adaptor fitted makes for quite a heavy and bulky unit, although I can't see how this could be improved. The adaptor itself measures 50mm wide x 45mm high and is 60mm long to the end of the terminals. For electric tooth brushes and shavers you would require a different adaptor exclusively designed for those products (the pins are closer together)

This EU to UK Transformer works well as expected, though big in size. I That aside, I have no regrets buying this Converter.

Recently I ordered an electric cooler box from Amazon that came fitted with a European two-pin plug so I needed to find an adapter to convert it back to good old UK three-pin. It also needed to be at least 2.5 amp, and this adapter covered this with a 3 amp fuse fitted. It’s lightweight, but I guess there’s not much to it inside. I was attracted to this by it having a recess to push the Euro plug into, so you do end up having a bunch of plugs standing a foot proud of the socket. The recess is rectangular with triangle-shaped ends, so make sure the plug you’re adapting is suitable for this. Anyway, I’ve had no problems in using this so I’m perfectly happy.

There are cheaper Uk 3 pin to 2 pin converters out there but do not offer adequate support to something that has the weight of a plug head type power supply (those supplies sometimes affectionately called a wall-wart). Assuming your power supply has the correct shape plug it fits snuggly into the adaptor, the provision of a locking screw allows you to make the connection even more rigid and leaves no doubt when un-plugging that the entire assembly will unplug from the wall socket rather than leaving it to chance if the power supply will come out of the adaptor, the adaptor out of the wall socket or worse still, a bit of both! A spring-loaded sliding cover prevents access to the locking screw when the adaptor is plugged into a socket. A fuse is fitted and whereas I am not going to cut it apart to determine if it is sand-filled to meet the energy-breaking standards at least it is in circuit and could easily be replaced with a fuse from a respected manufacturer whereas some equipment has either a fake fuse or a genuine fuse that is only cosmetic and not actually connected into the circuit.

Nicely made and a Euro plug fits well, including ones as part of a power supply. There's also a screw which can be used to hold the plug in place, making it a one-piece assembly.

This adapter is ideal for wall mounted transformers with a European plug as they do not wobble (which happens with a standard European adapter. The product is descibed as being fitted with a 3A fuse, but there was no fuse in the one I received. I keep a stock of fuses but it would have been annoying if I had to go out and buy one. Either include a fuse or correct the product description.
