We bought a new gazebo recently, and found out during the last heatwave and thunderstorms, that it wasn't 'rain' proof. Water-resistant certainly is not waterproof. I found out the hard way during a thunderstorm. :( So we went looking for a waterproof cover for it, and they were extortionate! How can a gazebo cost £80, and a cover cost almost the same? Then we found these brilliant tarps. Got a metre longer than the roof, and tied it down with bungee cords, and voila, you have a waterproof gazebo roof, and at a fraction of the price. Why aren't gazebo's always waterproof anyway? It's thick, yet easy to use, and you can cover other pieces of outdoor furniture ,if needed. Very versatile. Size was spot on. Very durable. Would definitely buy again.

This is a bonded PVC tarp, that will take a fair bit of wear and tear by the looks and feel of it, incorporating metal eyelets at the edges for tying down outdoors. Given some of the competition which is barely thin plastic in sheets that I suspect would tear even if used for the purpose of protecting a floor when decorating internally this seems to be far superior. What makes it so is as I said, it's apparent strength of material and it's economical cost for what you're purchasing. Currently it's covering two pallets of tiles in my garage and despite the unseasonal weather we're having, it's acting as minimal thermal protection as well from what is by it's nature, a rather cold place! In other words, I'm glad I chose this and if I need to add to it when my kitchen does get refurbished, I can just buy another one or two, tie them together and I get the impression that even the builders will be hard pressed to wear holes in it which is a happy bonus.

I picked up this 2x3m ANSIO tarp to cover some garden gear, and it's held up better than expected. Even though it's only 70gsm, it's handled wind and rain without tearing or stretching. The reinforced corners and eyelets every metre make it easy to secure, and the blue coating seems to resist UV and mildew well. It's lightweight, so easy to fold and store, but still does the job for light to medium-duty tasks. Not sure I'd trust it for anything too heavy-duty, but for general garden or camping use, it's a solid buy.
