Premium Replacement Charcoal Water Filter Disk for Mr. Coffee Machines (24)

With the water quality in our house we go through one of these filters every two weeks, and with the Mr. Coffee brand costing $6.99 each at the store it was very expensive to continue to replace them. We purchased these to try with the theory that if they didn't work or hold up at least they weren't that expensive. When I initially opened the package I was impressed with the quality of these, they're without a doubt as good quality as the originals. They're the same size as the originals so they fit our coffeemaker without an issue. We've been using the first one for about a week now and I'm very happy with how it's holding up. I'm tempted to say it's actually showing less wear than the Mr. Coffee version would at this point. Overall I'm very happy with these and will continue to purchase them in the future.

These filters fit perfectly over the drip baskets of standard “Mr. Coffee” brand drip coffee makers, and I think improve the taste of the coffee.1. Put your plastic drip basket in the coffee maker, drop in a coffee filter; & fill with your chosen amount of coffee;2. Fill the water reservoir w the appropriate amount of water.3. Before you close up the maker, place one of these filters btwn the top of the dry coffee grounds & the hot water siphon/spigot, so that the hot water goes thru the filter b4 it hits the coffee. The filter should be the same diameter as the basket, such that filter ever touches the grounds.You’ll be surprised at all the “crap” the filter will catch (mostly old coffee grounds that somehow ended up in the reservoir, but other “junk,” too). You can clean & reuse the filters if you want, or discard them after each use. You can choose either plain paper filters or “charcoal-infused” paper, too.

We have the worst water, even using spring water, these filters give ease of mind that unwanted minerals/sediments don't get into our tea and coffee. Keeps the flavor of the beverage true. Just a little twist holds it into the filter for the model of coffee maker easily! And the cost is great... one filter per month ensures fresh taste all the time!! You can actually see some sediment and discoloration on the filter, so you know it is doing it's job the way you would expect with a movable tab to show each month when you change the filter disc so you know it's time to change it.

The last filters I tried had quality control issues like the filter paper sagging down into the grounds when the filter got wet, pulling completely out of its little plastic frame (THAT was a pleasant experience; charcoal in your coffee, anyone?), and the plastic frame warping so the whole filter came out of the filter holder assembly and just sat on top of the grounds. Mind you, these things happened on three different filters from that package, all within the space of a week & a half -- so we're not even talking about sustained use here. So those were things that were fresh on my mind when I bought these filters. These do NONE of those things. The filter ring snaps nice and snug into the filter assembly, and doesn't warp, so it stays where it should. The paper stays nice and taut inside the ring, so no sagging or pulling out of the ring. And coffee tastes great! I have to admit, I wasn't sure the filters were even really worth using (I mean, do they REALLY have that much of an impact on coffee flavor?), but we made a few pots without filters while we were waiting for these to arrive, and I definitely noticed a bitter aftertaste with those few pots that I am not getting when we use the filters. So definitely well worth the money! (And this was already a good deal, anyway.)

I started using these several years ago, after I made a pot without the filters. A waste of good coffee. Next pot, used store bought water (bottled) and a filter. Been thankful for the filters since then.

Removes calcium for sure. You can see the physical particles on the top side of the filter before it even makes it to the middle charcoal layer. Impressive! The original filters that came with the coffee maker are garbage.

I bought the Mr coffee replacement charcoal filters they actually hold up better than the actual filter that came with the coffee maker. The only problem I had was with the delivery of the product it wouldn’t give me an estimated delivery date when I requested the product to be delivered to my post office as it’s safer for deliveries than at my residence but when after 2 weeks of fighting with Amazon about this I cancelled and reordered the product to be delivered to my address I got the product the next day. Anyone who has the 10 cup mr coffee coffee maker I recommend getting the replacement filters here.

Happy to be able to source these easily. I’ve never seen in any local store so I don’t know how I’d replace if they weren’t available here, on Amazon.
