Too Many Exercises/Not Enough Explanation
Well, this book starts off well explaining music reading fundamentals. It does say "workbook" in the title. But many important terms are not clearly defined. Example: "We draw a treble clef from the middle, which is the second line from the bottom." The book never defines a "clef," one of the most important terms referring to a common musical symbol that identfies the pitch of the notes to follow in the sheet music. Or the term, treble, which equates to G4 on the piano. I would not recommend this book for younger learners or teens as a self-learning tool. A qualified teacher would be required to fill in all the gaps and guide. Use only as a supplement.

Better than flash cards - Cracking the music sight reading code ….
I am learning piano. I remember the treble cleff from piano lessons 60 years ago. Now I want to read the bass cleff and identify chords, so I got two books as learning tools: Piano Note Reading and Blank Piano Keyboard Chord Chart and Double Staff. All is going well. This one is exactly what I was looking for. Better even than the flash cards I am also using.

Large font, daily practice PERFECT,
As an adult learner of piano, I so love this book. I have struggled with quick recall and recognition of notes on the staff and this is perfect for my daily practice to build those skills. As an older adult I love the larger print!
