Perfect fit... make sure you do the following before ordering wheels.... - Remove a wheel. You may need a hacksaw to cut the axel off... i could not drill out the rivets with my drill bit. - Measure the length of the original axel and the diameter if possible. - Measure the diameter of the existing wheel (this set is 50mm) - Measure the width of the wheel where the axel goes through. If you can remove the wheels original wheels, these are easy to install. I needed to use a hacksaw to cut the original axels. There were no instructions, and it is a little confusing where to put the washers. I wound up using one washer per wheel, closest to the side of the wheel where the threads on the axel are visible. The wheels seem good, and can now be easily replaced if damaged again.

My wife hated her carry-on luggage because one of the wheels had begun to disintegrate so it was both hard to push and hard to steer. In trying to prolong its life, I measured her current wheels and ordered a set of 50 mm x 18 mm wheels. After carefully prying off the wheel axle covers, I found out the old axles are staked in place so they won't simply slide out. To get the staked axles out of the current luggage I needed to cut through the axle. I wrapped tape around a fine tooth hacksaw blade and slowly cut through the axles to free them and the old wheels from the mounts. Unfortunately the new axles were a bit bigger than my originals so i needed to drill out the holes a bit (i'm sure a round file would work if you had no drill). Pick the right length of screw-together axles from the kit and I was back in business!! Some key takeaways - First, these wheels are made of a nice smooth and hard plastic/rubber similar to a scooter wheel so they will last a lot longer than the original wheels. Second, they have bearings which are so much easier to roll than the simple bushing type of the originals (I did put a bit of ceramic bike chain wax into them to make them extra smooth and live even longer) and, man, the luggage is a pleasure to roll around. Great kit with good quality parts and enough pieces to fit many variations of luggage. My luggage happily lives on

I needed to replace a bad wheel on my 4 wheel roller travel suitcase and these were the perfect size, they fit great and were easy to install with the included hardware. Quiet and no scuff rubber make the bag roll effortlessly. Highly recommended for smaller weekender travel bags.

Our old luggage Wheels were worn out and cracked replaced them with these 70 mm by 24 mm wide inserted a single washer to take up a little bit of slop rolls like new.

Excellent wheel replacement for my old Tumi Alpha, Tumi service said wheels were discontinued and these work just fine and easy to install highly recommended.

I have purchased so many different types of replacement wheels for suitcases and never had any success, until now! Seriously. I ended up trashing my daughter’s favorite graphic suitcase a couple of months ago because, after trying THREE different sets of replacement wheels, nothing worked. With that suitcase , I was trying to replace not just the wheel, itself, but also the entire housing. I took all of the measurements (up and down, on the diagonal, etc) as instructed, but never got it right. Such a pain! Then, I found these replacement wheels. Wheels only - no housing and they are SO MUCH BETTER! I read that these are frequently returned. If that is true, it has to be because people aren’t bothering to measure. Seriously folks, just grab a tape measure or ruler. You need three simple measurements… 1. Width of the wheel (measure across the part of the wheel that actually touches the ground) 2. Size or diameter of your wheel (measure across, from side to side.) 3. The diameter or width of the pin or aka the part holding your wheel inside the housing (again, just measure across that little circle). Easy peasy! The most difficult (but not really difficult) part was removing the existing wheel from the housing. I used a small hack saw. Unfortunately, I made it slightly difficult for myself because I tried to cut through just the metal pin. Getting the blade in between the wheel and the side of the housing was a tight fit and I ended up cutting a tiny piece of the housing. Not enough to cause a problem, but still. Anyway, after I figured out that I could cut closer to the wheel and cut through some of the rubber, it was smooth sailing. I hope this helps. Honestly, I really could not be more happy with this purchase!!!

Just Installed! Replaced the factory wheels for a carry-on bag from Ross a few years ago (Jessica Simpson Luggage) Product itself: 100% WORTH IT! Much better than orginal/standard wheels that come on luggage. Standard luggage wheels come with a plastic rim that has a small rubber outerband (like a strong rubber band around the wheel). They wear out quickly and snap/break. The wheels in this kit are all poly, like a rubber...rollerblade wheel with a center punched bearing. Much better design for longterm use. Will it wear out? Yes, eventually. But Much longer lifespan than the factory luggage wheels. Bearings feel very adequate for this purpose of use. I used a general handheld hacksaw and got through each pop-rivot in about 30 seconds, but I applied a little pressure. Without added force, it would still probably only take 1 minute or so. I used a little pick and popped it out from the inside and then pushed out the other end from the open hole. You could use any kind of knife, small flat tip screwdriver, anything with a little edge just to dig out the small end. TIP: Remove the small end first, same side of the wheel you made the cut. Very little resistance on that end. New wheels fit in perfect. I didn't use the washers. It was close enough and the plastic holder/housing on the bag is a semi-flexible plastic. Mine fit just about perfect without washers. Feeding the new rivot (basically, the new screw and nut) is a little tight. It fits, but that means you have to wiggle it a little to push it through. NOTE: Make sure you are lined up with the exit hole. You just need to wiggle around with a little pressure until you find the hole. It's pretty easy because the wheel is already on the shaft, so you have just hold the wheel to move it around. The nut is precoated with locktite, so no worries about anything coming loose. Just snug it down and you are good to go! I searched through lots of wheels, I wasn't sure of the actual mm measurement. I took a loose measurement with a tape measure in inches. It seemed close enough. Now that I have it installed, I am confident to say, most sizes, within reason, fit and have size flexibility. This is not a precision type device. (meaning, if you got a 40mm or 50mm, not much difference, or width of 19mm vs 21mm, doesn't really matter. And if you want perfection, it comes with washers) NOTE: Just make sure if you have a single wheel or the divided/double wheel assembly. Thats the only thing that would really matter at installation. Lastly, Can't beat the price! I hope this helps the next person trying to find luggage wheels....and not throwing away luggage that's an easy quick fix. ADVICE: If you buy new luggage for a broken wheel, the new bag comes with the same low quality wheel (yes, even the expensive luggage comes with same cheap wheels, not sure why they don't come with better wheels). You'll be facing this same problem soon enough. Highly Recommended! Matt
