Great, but make sure to buy a power cord with it
I use this as a home docking station for my work laptop. One word - fantastic. You do have to buy the power cord separately, so make sure to buy the correct one. I bought one on amazon - HP/COMPAQ ORIGINAL 120W SMART AC ADAPTER POWER CORD/SUPPLY BATTERY CABLE CHARGER OEM

Great quality and service
The dock is exactly what I needed to set up my laptop for a great work space. Everything is connected and wire-managed. Also ready to go mobile at full charge. Also arrived ahead of schedule in flawless condition.

Not compatible with the Elite 8560p.
I asked current owners of this docking station if this worked with a Elite 8560p and was told it should work with all Elite laptops. Not so. This does not work with the 8560p. I should have researched the part number to confirm this was compatible with the 8560p.

The unit wouldn't come on.
It's difficult to give this a rating when the unit didn't even work properly. The unit looked great and fit my computer, an HP 6390p, but never came on. The light showed that a computer was attached to the unit but would not turn on. Was not impressed. Will order another one which will hopefully work. If not, shame on me for trying again. I returned the first unit and now wait on my second unit to arrive.

Item returned
This docking status connectors didn't match the connectors of the laptop I have. I input the laptop make and model and this was one of the docking stations suggested. The other one was cost prohibitive, so I chose this lower price one expecting it to work, but didn't. I have since returned the item via USMail and am waiting for the notification of receipt and credit back to my credit card which is on file with Amazon.com.

Good job
Delivered sooner than predicted. Packed well. Hooked up easily and works well. The actual "locking" of the EliteBook into the dock does not feel quite as clean and solid as the Dell M6300 clicked into it's doc.

Why do I love my HP Docking Unit?
This Docking unit allows all connections plus, and conveniently locates them in the rear and on the sides of the unit, makes it much easier to connect externals while keeping the connections from winging to the sides just waiting for someone/thing to bump the side connections causing breakage or knocking the notebook onto the ground (had that misfortune with my other hp- broke the screen, trashed the HDD, and when it made it back from repair- the system just never worked properly again).

Dock in a safe port
HP docking stations remove the clutter and allow me to hook up everything together. Got a laptop? Tired of looking at a small screen? Tired of hooking up a printer to opne of your ports? Got a laptop with docking station capability? Then get one of these docking stations and do everything in one stop - including adding an external monitor.
