I chose this as it was recommended by Which? as being well calibrated and consistent. I have found this to be the case, it is easy to use, well made and measures temperature very consistently. It isn't cheap but the price is appropriate for the quality, accuracy and multi functions. I have awarded 5 stars because it fulfilled my reason for buying it. However, maybe it was my particular device but I found fitting the batteries difficult as I have reduced motor skills due to peripheral neuropathy. The spring was extremely tight and it took several attempts to get one of the batteries in. Back to positives - I like the three modes - ear, forehead and objects. It is quick to give a reading, too.

I’m not sure whether we ended up with a faulty product as what they describe does not match what we received at all. The temperature is very inconsistent as another reviewer notes. No two forehead readings are the same, no two ear readings at the same. The readings between forehead & ear can be as much as a whole degree out. It’s missed fevers when my child has been noticeably hot and ill with RSV. Now showing battery low sign even with new batteries in - useless and stressful when you need it. I was happy to pay the higher price over the Braun thermoscan based on it doing both forehead & ear but what is the point if both readings are inaccurate?? It’s within warranty so will be going back. Not at all happy.

I bought this thermometer as it has bluetooth connectivity which I needed to upload temperatures from it to Apple Health without having to enter them manually. I was disappointed to find out that the MedM health app which you have to use requires an expensive “premium” subscription to do the uploads. It works, but even with the special yearly subscription offer, I decided it was too expensive. I thought about keeping the thermometer anyway, but I found that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get consistently accurate readings (checked against 2 known good thermometers). Regretfully, I have had to return it, because it is too expensive for something that isn’t accurate and doesn’t do what I bought it for. I have bought a much cheaper sub-lingual thermometer instead, that interfaces with an app I already have, and provides consistent readings which match those of known good thermometers. It’s a shame that a product with so many features doesn’t do the job.

This thermometer is bulky but so quick to take a temperature and gives a very easy to see digital result in 2 seconds. Great if you need to do frequent recordings. Very comfortable in ear, so much so that you wouldn't even wake the patient.

When we first purchased this we were only using the forehead thermometer. It wasn’t until our daughter got sent home from nursery with a high temp that we noticed that this seemed a bit out! We then tried the ear thermometer and were surprised at the difference in readings. We now only use the ear function, as the forehead measurements are very inconsistent and inaccurate.

I purchased this for my new grandson and I have now purchased one for myself.

Do not buy this product. It did not detect that my 10 month old daughter had a temperature of 39.5 degrees (verified by other thermometers). She needed urgent medical assistance and it is fortunate we thought to not trust the reading and find other thermometers to check the temperature of her. Unreliable and faulty.
