My wife loves to drink from a straw because ice hurts her teeth. These are a great replacement for plastic straws. They are a great value. You get 200, which lasts a long time, and they hold up to all drinks and don't dissolve like paper straws. And they are biodegradable, so I don't feel bad when they get thrown away.

These sugarcane straws have become one of my favorite travel hacks. If you’ve been to resorts in Mexico, Costa Rica, or the Caribbean lately, you already know ... plastic straws are mostly gone, and what’s offered instead (if anything) is often those paper ones that go limp halfway through your drink. I know a lot of people pack reusable metal straws when they travel, but I’m just not that person. I lose things constantly, and I really don’t love the idea of cleaning straws while I’m in a place where the tap water isn’t potable. Plus, I don’t want to spend half my vacation rinsing gunk out of a straw. Enter these compostable sugarcane straws ... total game-changer. I take a handful with me on every trip. They’re super lightweight, totally guilt-free, and I can toss them after using without any waste anxiety. They don’t get soggy like paper, and they hold up just fine for cocktails, smoothies, iced coffee ... you name it.I even use them at home now. They’re great in cold drinks, and even hold up surprisingly well in warm ones (I use them for matcha lattes around 150–160°F with no issue). They can warp a bit if you go hotter than that, so I wouldn’t use them for boiling liquids - but that’s expected with any plant-based straw.

I was trying to stop using plastic straws without fully committing to suffering through paper ones. These are the first ones that actually feel like a real solution.They hold up in drinks, don’t get soggy, and don’t have a paper taste. I use them for iced coffee, cocktails, clear protein drinks. They work across the board... probably nothing hot though.They’ve got a slightly firmer feel, kind of like a natural version of plastic, without the self-loathing.Not revolutionary, just a solid swap if you’re trying to do your part without hating the experience.

Absolutely love these straws. At first I thought they would degrade really fast especially since I use them for iced coffee every day but I was wrong. Have used and washed out the same straw for a week now and it is good a new. This package of 60 straw will last a very long time. Wish I'd found them years ago.

theses straws are good quality. only had one issue with them. I did place my straw in my cup with my freshly poured espresso and it melted. but other than that , I love theses straws for the price.

Definitely not for hot beverages. I was hoping being bamboo it would have stood up to the heat. Good for cold beverages but don’t use with hot. They bend upon contact. Yes, I drink my coffee and hot tea through a straw.

RE: HANSGO Sugarcane Straws, 200PCSThese straws are great! Don't let the "Sugarcane" fool you. They aren't sweet; they've got no taste. They just feel good in the mouth - so much nicer than paper or plastic. These straws don't disintegrate or turn to mush like paper straws do. They don't crack and they aren't brittle like plastic straws often are.I have kept one of these straws standing in a glass all day which I continue refilling with water and tea all day long and by the end of the day, both ends of the straw are still perfectly in tact. I've even added hot tea to my glass and the straw remains firm. I am so happy I found these. I hope they are never discontinued.

Do not be fooled by the product description. These straws are great for COLD drinks: they collapse almost instantly in warm (170 degree F or greater) drinks.I did not detect any off flavors when using these straws.

I finally found a good alternative to plastic straws that doesn't taste weird (like paper). I don't know wether they are actually compostable. Drinking with them is like using classic plastic straws.Some of the straws arrived a bit deformed (see image)
