Within the timespan of a year I've installed a whole bunch of these light strips in my house for all sorts of things - illuminating the kitchen top and neat floor lighting, lighting the wine rack, under the bed for a nice indirect lighting which is especially nice when dimmed at night, the sideboard, the coat stand, the stairs and of course the home cinema area. Even though it's a bit tedious when doing lots of splits with a full light strip, they are not difficult to install and it's definitely worth the effort when doing more complex lighting installations. I also like the stickiness of the strips, it is high quality adhesive that sticks and keeps sticking. Setting them up for the first time and connecting them to the network is easy. I've read some say that they have connectivity issues, but I have not had any connectivity issues whatsoever with any of my many light strips. Controlling them is a joy! I use Samsung's SmartThings app to control them (without any hub), which gives a lot more functionality than the Meross app itself, including more control over precise color or color temperatures, brightness, and with the ability to set routines and timers you can easily control everything at precisely set colors and brightness levels, and make them go on and off at set times as well. They may not be the brightest light strip available, but they are more than sufficient and most importantly, the color reproduction and light quality are excellent! Also, as they are RGBWW, they also have warm white and cool white LEDS, so you can set any white color temperature you like. As for reliability, they have proven themselves to be excellent in that department too. The only issue I've had over the year, is that one of the controllers stopped working. But as it turns out, their customer service is excellent as well. After contacting Meross through their website, Jamie from their customer support resolved the problem very quickly without any issues. All in all, these are excellent light strips that are easy to use, have excellent color and color temperature reproduction, very configurable through apps like Smartthings, and are amazing value for money for all that you get.

Spot on, I didn’t read any instructions just scanned the HomeKit code they added straight away into Apple HomeKit no fussing, placed them under my wall cupboards the sticky pads worked well and also the 3M sticky strip on the back of the lights worked really well, snipped to length at the given marker and I was away, thank you

Only had it one day, so can’t comment on longevity. Have used Meross smart plugs before and they’ve been excellent & reliable (compared to some other brands I’ve bought), so I was confident in choosing this make. Fairly easy to set up. Just a few niggles with WiFi settings but got there in the end. Used both the backing tape and the tabs just to be sure they stay in place. Easy to setup with Alexa (or control through the Meross app). Understands various commands re brightness, colour, etc. Easy to add to routines. Also has a physical switch if you don’t want to use Alexa or the app. It’s just a basic on/off, but it does remember your last settings. For the price, can’t really fault it.

Updated rating: 5 months in 3 leds are going out as they don’t display the right colors anymore. They are red when turned on. Was initially excited because the strip was bright and super accurate color wise but definitelt not impressed that this lasted for less than my super cheap smart life strips. At least those were unstuck and stuck back and moved from place to place and they lasted heroically. Meross I’ve installed to turn on with movement on the stairs so it did not move in these 5 months. Not good! Bought for homekit compatibility but now I would rather buy hue. Can’t judge wether it is sticky or not as I’ve used a different mounting method I have come to like meross products. I have plugs from them too and I love them. I just love how easily they are added and controlled in homekit.

Works great with home assistant, for a WiFi device is reacts quick and functions reliably. The price is great and has a button for control. It’s bright and the whites look decent.

Worked seamlessly with Apple home kit. Easy installation and the length was great. Lots of light options. Only with was that Meross made defusers as you can see the led’s if your eye level with them

It took dozens of attempts, but after changing a few settings on my network (removing a port forwarding rule, changing the DHCP range, etc), I gave it a final attempt thinking it was a dud, and then it worked! Now I’ve got it set up, it works great. It can change colour and brightness, and is quick to update, maybe a half-second delay.

The lights work fine with the application but the issue is with the LEDs themselves. Sadly the LED are so far apart that even with a channel and diffuser each LED is separate and between each LED there's a 2 centimeter gap. Its also not as bright as you expect. I dont recommend buying this. Doesn't look as good as they show in the images.

* after 5minutes the light is already really warm! not sure if I want this on a wooden closet turned on for one hour or more.. * cannot be connected to alexa - linking is not possible. neither from the meros app nor from alexa. Alexa mentioned that this skill is not supported anymore.
