Great Hide for Wildlife Photographers
The NightHawk Hide is a great hide for wildlife Photographers, Bought two of these one for me & one for the wife, They are not too heavy to carry and you can carry them like a rucksack on your back. Firstly about the carry bag. Though both my wife and I have bad shoulders the straps on the bag does cause some discomfort on a long walk so the straps could do with a bit of padding as an improvement. Other than this the carry bag is adequate. The carry Bag also has a pocket with some metal pegs in though we have not needed to use the pegs to hold the hide down yet I'm sure they will be handy on windy days. The straps are adjustable and the pocket with the pegs has a zipper. The main bag pocket is a drawstring setup for the enclosure all good quality. Now to the main item the Chair hide. The hide is well constructed easy to setup and put away just takes a few seconds to setup. The Camo material is a nice pattern and of good quality it is attached to the Chair with metal bars that allows the hide hood pull over like a pram hood. The Hide cover is attached to the back of the chair and there is a tension strap attached to this for when you pack away the hide. You have to pull the strap tight around the pram hood bars to pack it down so it will fit back in the carry bag. When you setup the hide unclip the tension strap and open the chair out so you can sit on it. Make sure you don't have any of the hide material under the chair feet. Setup you camera on its tripod at the front of your chair so that the one leg of the tripod is in the middle between the legs of your chair so that you can step over it and sit in the chair Ok. The other two legs of your tripod in-font of you when sat down. You can then pull the Pram Hide cover over you. Once in the Hide there is plenty of space either side at the front of the hide for you camera bags and stuff. The Hide has no ground sheet but if you wanted you could put one underneath the Chair hide and sit your hide on top of it. The Hide has a zipper door at the front which you could use if you used the hide pegged down to access the hide but I prefer not to peg the Hide down and just pull the cover over me with the door zipped up. there are two opening windows doors at the front a small one and a larger opening. On the side of the hide there are two smaller opening window doors on either side. So gives you plenty of viewing options for your camera and for ventilation in the summer. All windows have good quality zippers and even Velcro to fix the side windows open. The hide is water rain & wind proof protecting you from the elements a little but wear suitable winter clothing to keep warm. Over all its very well built Hide and very quick to erect and put away.

Great puchase
I bought this mainly to get closer to the birds in my garden to photograph them. The chair is comfortable the the variety of openings means I can take photos from different angles without having to reposition it. Or create a through draft on a warm day. The chair is comfortable and has a handy drinks holder in one arm. It opens up easily, though I'd recommend not letting it spring open on its own, but restraining it a little. As with most pop up items, there's a knack to folding it up, but there's always YouTube for some handy hints on that. All in all, I'm very pleased with the product.

Excellent hide
I saw a youtube wildlife photographer review about this hide. And he raved about it. And he was absolutely right to do so. Its excellent. What it is really is a camping chair with a fold over hood. The chair is you basic comfortable camping chair made of strong metal tubes with nylon seat and armrest. It has a built in cup holder. The tent or hide part is bolted on to the chair . It has 3 metal supports and the hide cloth a strong plastic coated product is attached to the struts and you literally sit in the chair and pull the hide or hood over you. Just like a hoody really. There are a number of flaps you can open for air and ventilation and 2 larger flaps at the front so you can view out. It all compresses and a strap holds it together so you can out it back in the bag. Which has 2 shoulder straps for carrying. I have been after a small portable hide for ages. For 58 quid you can argue with this. Fast and easy to use. Cheap but good quality, a must for wildlife watching and photography. Buy one you wont regret it.

Overall, a decent bit of Kit
In recent times I have bought a lot of shooting related products and always wanted to try these. Using the popular poles and net hide for shotgun use, I thought this would be ideal for when I am out with the air rifle or camera. It seems to be quite well made so far. Nothing has fallen off, bent or torn. The Camouflage pattern is well defined and clear and blends in to the surroundings well at certain times of the year. I drape a standard net over it as well sometimes which helps no end. The seat is a standard camping chair type with a mug holder. Setting it up is quite simple, however, folding it back into its transport bag can be challenging at first but not a deal breaker. It requires a fair amount of force to compress the flexible metal arches so you can clip it together for return to the bag. It feels a bit counter intuitive doing this, fearing they will break but it is designed to be transported and stored this way so no real worries there. The hide is by no means water proof though. A light shower will be ok but anything more will get through. From inside you can see daylight through the zips which is where the water would undoubtedly get in. Wind protection is generally good as long as you peg it down with the supplied pegs. As a man of 55yrs, getting in and out can be a challenge. Unless you just pull the whole canopy back over your head, which you can not do if it is pegged down. You have a fair amount of leg room inside until you introduce shooting sticks or a camera tripod which reduces your movement somewhat and in turn makes it more of a challenge if you need to get out for any reason. I have used this hide a number of times now and can say, Once you have your set up routine down, and have got yourself organised inside, it is quite cozy. This is a great addition to my kit and am very pleased I bought it.

Innovative hide that Wildlife Photographers should love
I am a keen amateur wildlife photographer and wanted a hide that was portable, good value and most importantly worked!. The Nitehawk has lived up to all my expectations. Price wise I consider it an investment but so far I feel that it has been worth it. I have summarised key points of my experience of using it in the field - The Good : 1. It works. I have been able to get within 10 feet of a Kingfisher. Result. 2. It portable, folds put easily juts by clipping the retaining strap and it more or less unfolds itself. Its a foldup chair with a big hood that you pull over your head. Works amazingly well and is so easy to set up. The chair even has a drink holder. 3. The chair and hood can be secured to the floor using metal tent pins that are supplied. I seriously advise to do this as it makes sure the animals wont see your feet accidentally. 4. The Camo hood has several holes that open using zips. This is a fantastic feature. You get holes in front, side and rear and you can vary the size of the hole opening on the front. I use a big slr lens and there has been no issue using it in the hide. The holes are opened and close using zips. 5. Once you get used to it "folding" up the tent is relatively easy. You need to get the technique practiced but once you get the nack its relatively easy. 6. For a man such as me who is over 6ft and carrys a lot of equipment there was plnety of room for me , the camera and my camera bag inside.. There is not room for 2 people. 7. Its really confortable. It beats lying on the cold ground any day. Bad. 1. Be careful with the tent material and try and not snag it when folding the tent up orr putting it in the carry bag. 2. Carry bag - its sufficient in size but I have reservations about how strong it is and how long the material will last. 3. Weight. The hide can be carried over your shoulders but its quite heavy. You will more than likely have to carry it with another camera bag so be prepared to sweat a bit carrying everything. 4. Its shower proof but be prepared to get wet if the weather is very wet and you get caught in a storm. I am really happy with the hide. I've had some good results with it and recommend it to any budding wildlife photographers - be prepared to be called a mobile camouflaged dalek :)

A little heavy, but easy to set up
Excellent product - easy to erect and pack away, plenty of openings for camera (and importantly - air - it gets very hot inside!) Please take note, it's a little heavy. Not on it's own, at 6 1/2 kilos, but added to a camera backpack and tripod, it makes for quite a heavy load. It's probably more useful if you're not planning a long walk to the location chosen.

Solid cheap hide - excellent value for money
Very cheap hide in comparison to other brands, love the functionality, very easy to set up and pack down, fairly comfortable for extended periods of use. Haven’t tested it in the rain yet, but I think you’ll struggle to find something better at this price point. The only drawback I could imagine would be the weight if you were carrying it over a long distance, but it’s usually on my back or strapped to a bag, it doesn’t bother me.

No netting on interior zipped windows
Product acceptable ……but should have interior netting on all the windows. When you open the zipped windows …open to the elements and animals can see your face. Also needs a back window.

Bien pratique !
