Gritin Reading Book Light

Years ago, I had one of the spindly, "Itty Bitty Book Light," and I don't know why, in all the ensuing years, I didn't think to see if there was currently something similar, but not so flimsy, available. What made me finally check Amazon was that in walking onto the deck outside my bedroom one recent night, I could see that my bedside reading lamp was bleeding light from the window -- even through closed, supposedly light-blocking blinds -- and into the bedroom window of the building next door. I do my best to avoid inconveniencing others, but I'd been unaware that for all the years I've been living in my current flat, my late-night reading must have had my neighbors cursing me. So I immediately checked Amazon for a book light, and it took me just minutes to decide on this one. I'm so happy I found this light, and my pet and my neighbors are probably happy as well, as I'm no longer ruining their sleep. This little light is much more substantial than it appears in the product photo, and seems to be built to last. The clamp is strong and large enough to stay put, but not too heavy for paperbacks (you'll need to clamp at least a quarter-inch section of pages). Changing the light intensity and color is easy and straightforward, and the sturdy but supple neck and light bar are easy to adjust. I've had this little light just under a week, and in that time have read two paperbacks and a hardcover, and the clamp worked well on each of the differing cover weights. The initial charge is still going strong, and only last night did the power-indicator lights go from four to three, so I'm guessing there's at least nine more books (well, maybe not "War and Peace" or one of those massive Elizabeth George novels) worth of power remaining after just that first charge. If you're a late-night reader, you, your eyes, and anyone you share a bedroom with -- from pets to people -- will appreciate this well-designed and sturdy book light that holds a long-lasting charge. A great value and the perfect gift for yourself and any night-owl-reader among your friends and family.

Fantastic little book light! Honestly exceeded my expectations and I gave the second to my roommate bc she said she normally hates a rechargeable book light but these she was also impressed! There's no annoying "sunspot" style glare on the page. It stays charged quite well. It holds on to pages with a decent grip, no slipping pages, and has a little pivot on one side of the grip so it really grabs efficiently. The light settings are blue-ish, white, yellow, white and yellow and then a bunch of brightness options for really any situation. Can't say enough good things.

I'm not a big reader, but I decided to try it as a hobby and I wanted to get a book lamp so I can read at night without the main room light on. First off, the box it was in was damaged, but that's not really an issue. The lamp itself is very flexible and can be bent however you please, I included a vid of me bending it a bit but I was recording with the other hand so it doesn't really show how flexible it is, but trust me it is! It has a clip that you can clip to your book, it has 3 different colours and 5 brightness levels. The vid doesn't show much in terms of the difference between the 5 brightness levels but there is a difference trust me! It also came charged, and it came with a USB c cord, so you would need a adapter to charge it (but that's fine). I really like it and will definitely be keeping unless something happens to it from now til the return window closes. I'll update if anything happens before the return window closes and after! But, get it!!!

This is an amazing book reading light! It is easy to use with great instructions on use, care and battery recharging. It is so light in weight yet is sturdy and flexible. It lights up both pages and it is easy to adjust the flexible head and the type of lightening desired. I can now read in bed while my husband sleeps without having to turn on my nightstand lamp. It’s small yet big in its abilities. Reasonable priced for all it has to offer. I highly recommend!

This book light is perfect and honestly better than I expected. The quality is excellent and it doesn’t feel cheap at all. It has three different light spectrums, with four brightness levels for each, so it’s easy to find a comfortable setting. The clip is strong and stays securely in place, and the flexible neck holds its position really well. I’ve used it quite a bit and haven’t even had to charge it yet. I’m really happy with it and would absolutely buy these as gifts for my book-loving friends.

Arrived on time. Great tool and easy to use. Love that I can use different light modes. The price was affordable and fair. The choices of light colors was a good benefit for me due to having roommates in the room.

This is a neat book light. The charge holds up very well. I like the different brightness settings. I can stay up reading while my fiancé sleeps and the light won’t keep him up. The only thing that’s a little difficult with using it, is its weight. It’s on the heavier side and with my paperbacks, the book light will make the book bend inwards while reading.

I had insomnia reading on my phone at night even in dark mode. I am now reading paper novels with this book light. It is perfect. It clips on easily and holds well. I love the easiness of button controls. However, the best feature is the 5 levels of brightness, and 3 light types: daylight, white and amber. The low amber allows me to read but doesn’t activate my circadian rhythm and allows me to get drowsy. My sleep has greatly improved. No more direct, blue light for me. I highly recommend this item.

Extremely happy with this light! Love the versatility of the light, different light colors and brightness. Battery lasts long, you can use it as mood light also for your coffee table in the evening, etc. Perfect product!

Brilliant. I thought it would be flimsy, but stand corrected. The different levels of light is great, and so bright. Would definitely recommend.
