Product description Review: Decent Heel Relief for Travelers, But Not a Total Cure - Iโve been dealing with some annoying heel pain latelyโmostly a mix of plantar fasciitis and just general soreness from being on my feet too much. Living in Florida, Iโm usually in lighter shoes, and I travel quite a bit, so I needed something I could swap between my sneakers and my casual boots without a huge hassle. I picked up these ViveSole Gel Heel Cups to see if theyโd take the edge off. After using them for a few weeks, I have some thoughts. They arenโt a miracle cure, but they do serve a specific purpose. The Real-World Experience The first thing you notice is the texture. They are a soft, squishy silicone. If youโve ever had that "stabbing" feeling in your heel when you first wake up or after standing in a security line for forty minutes, these do help. They act like a shock absorber for your heel bone. Iโve found them especially useful in my flatter shoes that have zero built-in support. Pros Good Impact Protection: They definitely soften the blow when your heel hits the pavement. Itโs a noticeable difference compared to walking on a hard factory insole. Versatile Fit: I got the Large (Blue), and they fit into my sneakers, work shoes, and even some sturdier boots without making the shoe feel too tight. Easy Maintenance: Since theyโre silicone, you can just rinse them off with a little soap if they get dusty or linty, and theyโre sticky enough to stay put again. Value: Getting a pair for this price is a fair deal. Itโs a cheap way to try out heel elevation before dropping $100+ on custom orthotics. Cons Stability Issues: Because theyโre just gel cups and not full insoles, they can feel a bit "mushy." Sometimes it feels like my heel is sliding slightly side-to-side inside the shoe, which isn't ideal if you're walking on uneven ground. Heat: Being silicone, they donโt breathe. In the Florida humidity, my heels can get a little sweaty if Iโm walking around outside for too long. Limited Arch Support: Just a heads-upโthese are only for your heels. If your pain is actually coming from a collapsed arch, these won't do much for that. They just cushion the back. Practical Tips If youโre traveling, these are great because theyโre small and light. I keep them in my carry-on and pop them into whatever shoes Iโm wearing for a long day of walking. They are best for "impact" painโlike if you're standing on concrete floors all day. Value for Money Overall, the value is solid. Theyโre a simple, low-cost fix for minor heel spurs or that tired-feet feeling. They won't replace a podiatristโs prescription, but for a casual buyer looking for a bit more "squish" in their step, they do exactly what they claim to do. Review: Literal game-changer. - So I was skeptical, but love the hell out of this pair of heeled boots I have. I got tendonitis VERY badly in my right ankle from a mile or so in those boots, as in bad enough I had to have physical therapy. But I really love those boots! And I'm an idiot who didn't want to give them up. So I decided to try these insoles in Paris (and I took back-up flats with me--when the tendonitis started in Sausalito, I had to spend $180 on a pair of flats so I could walk enough to get back to my AirBnB because there aren't exactly options there), and holy crap-nuggets. I literally walked MILES a day, every day for a MONTH, and they ended up making those boots more comfortable than flats I'd taken with me that were designed for walking far distances. I'm going back for a few weeks, and am buying more of these heel insole things and more heels shoes because I don't want to risk anything else being less comfortable. Literal game-changer. I wouldn't have expected this from pretty cheap insoles. Update: Now that it's January 2019, I've been using the same pair for almost a year, and those same boots are still ridiculously comfortable. No insoles so cheap should work so well. I read some of the negative reviews and rolled my eyes. They add thickness? Duh. You're adding something inside your shoes. Too big? Get the smaller ones. Too small? Get the bigger. I wear a women's 10.5 and got the blue ones. How can someone complain both that they're too sticky, but also don't stay in place? Or they're too sticky, but too slippery to walk on? I really don't understand that. How is it possible to be both? Really, just try these. I'm going to be getting some for some heels I have. I found they've helped my bunions since I can lean back and keep my weight on my heels instead of the balls of my feet. If I'm in flats and do that, my tendons start to hurt and my heels themselves hurt. But I can do that in heels in with these insoles!

Cheap pain relief
I work food service and I'm constantly walking around a hard surface with thin shoes that have barely any support. I was miserable when I'd come home because of how much pain I'd be in. These insoles had me literally dancing at work, they're so comfortable on the heels. They cushion the sorest parts of my feet and make walking painless while I'm wearing them. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for cushioning to get through long shifts. A few criticisms: I've had them for a week and they've already begun to crack down the centre, so they're definitely NOT durable (not the biggest issue because they're cheap). They're pretty good with adhesion but one has been slipping around a bit. My feet still hurt just as much when I take my shoes off and am walking around at home so they don't offer any long term pain relief.

Great heel cups
While there is adhesion on the bottom of these cups, it isn't strong and I am able to move them from my morning walking shoes to my daytime/evening shoes without a problem. They seem to have helped with the pain a lot. If the pain continues to diminish, I will buy a few more pair so I can leave them in all of my shoes and not have to move them. REVISED ASSESSMENT After using these heel cups for over a week now, I would not buy them again. They helped with the foot pain, but the pain moved to other parts of my leg. As soon as I stopped wearing them, the new pain went away. I don't normally wear heels and I think that even the slight elevation from these cups threw my body out of alignment, thus causing the new pain.

They worked to prevent another painful plantar fasciitis attack.
15 years ago, I had SO very painful plantar fasciitis. I had to go to the doctor and get cortisone shots. Fortunately, that helped. I was pain free for years. Then about 2 years ago, I started to feel some pain in my heels again. I was worried that a full-blown pain attack was around the corner, and I would need a doctor visit and more shots maybe. But I decided to try these ViveSole Heel Cups instead. And to my complete delight, the pain went away in a short a time and it has been gone since. I wear them in my favorite all-purpose sneakers, which I wear about 75% or more of the time. I continue wearing ViveSole Heel Cups and I buy new replacements every now and again as a continuous preventative. They are comfortable and I believe they have helped prevent another painful plantar fasciitis attack.

All around terrible.
I wanted to like these, but ended up throwing them away. The problems: 1. They are so thick that, when I put them into my shoes, my foot barely fit in with them. I can't imagine them working well unless you are wearing a shoe that's already one size too big. 2. There's no structure at all to them -- they're just thick squishy silicone. When I walk wearing them, my feet sort of wobble around in my shoe -- I nearly rolled an ankle, and I was wearing flats! It's like walking on half-melted Jell-O. 3. The cups adhesive did not stick to the inside of the shoe, but the non-adhesive side stuck to my foot. So when I would take a (wobbly, squishy) step, the heel cup would end up coming right out of the shoe, clinging to my heel. 4. They STANK. After about two hours, they smelled so bad that I was getting whiffs of plasticky foot-stink wafting up from under my desk! I ended up taking off my shoes, peeling the heel cups off my skin, and throwing them out. 5. And after all that, they didn't actually help my plantar fasciitis pain at all. In fact, the wobbliness of trying to walk with thick squishy things in my shoes made the pain worse. Don't waste your money on these.

Miracle inserts!
I do apt maintenance and I like to wear boots. Got so used to it since I did construction for a while as well. I usually average 15,000 steps in a day. Roughly 7 miles of walking. I had a really bad pain on my heels. A coworker of mine recommended I buy these. It's been 2years now and every 4months or so I buy another pair and throw the old one away. As they are at a really affordable price and I know they aren't meant to last that long with how much strain I put on them. They do get dirty quick, picking up lint from my socks. I do upkeep with the inserts. I wash them every Friday. I clean my boots and lather them up. As I upkeep with them as well but that's not the point. Pain is non existent. Really makes walking enjoyable. Ordering a other pair Tonight!

Bulky and Didnโt help my plantar fasciitis
While I have full length inserts that I like wearing in sneakers for my plantar fasciitis (in both feet), I was looking to see if I could find a solution that would allow me to wear my work shoes (heels and flats) without pain. These were not the solution. Theyโre a bit thick so they raised my foot out of the shoes a bit so that my feet didn't feel secure and snug in them anymore (kind of felt like my feet were going to pop out). But most importantly, they didnโt help my heel pain despite being thick and cushy - seems like for me I really need the full inserts. However, if anyoneโs wondering, these do stay pretty indivisible even if youโre wearing โdโorsayโ styke flats with the middle part of the foot exposed, so thatโs nice!

Heal your heels pain with these heel cups.
I had severe heel pain due to uneven landing while playing badminton. These heel cups helped me very much. The shoe also lasts longer now and there is no pain in the heels. Its value for money.

Great for heal cushioning
I shattered my ankle and foot so I get really bad pain and walk even heavier on my heels then before. These help so that I can not be in as much pain.

Great solution for leg length discrepancy
These gel inserts are extremely comfortable, firm but not hard when walking on them and they don't move in the shoe. I've been suffering from chronic back pain due to my legs being different lengths and these inserts pretty much eliminated my back pain. Glad I found these!
