Just what I needed
I got these in addition to a neck pillow (also from Amazon) to use while recovering from eye surgery. I have to lie flat in the bed for 3 days with my eyes toward the ceiling as much as possible. I was worried about my head shifting in my sleep. Well, with these wedges that is not going to happen. I tied them around my neck pillow (I tied them in a way that I devised so they will not shift around) and when I lay my head down it goes right between these wedges and holds my head straight all night. It is very comforting to me to know that this pillow combined with these wedges will help me get the best result from my surgery. I am not a back sleeper, it is very hard for me. But this helps. I have about 5 weeks until my surgery and I am sleeping with these every night getting accustomed to the needed posture. I have also ordered something to help keep my mouth from falling open during the night!

Great for neck pain, stabilization
I've been dealing with neck pain for 5 yrs now and having to sleep strictly on my back. I can't let my head roll to either side. I use to tuck blankets under the sides of my pillow to curl the pillow around the sides of my head but they would shift out through the night. This is exactly what I have been looking for! I periodically switch between pillows depending on my pain and it's great that I can use these with any one of my weird shaped pillows...i can even use it with my skinny neck roll pillow. The company is really missing out by not marketing this for neck pain or by offering a more neutral color. I'm sure there are men who have passed on this item due to the color alone. It is exactly as pictured and well built. The cover has a zipper closure and can be removed for washing. The cotton filling is contained in a pillow sack to help it hold its shape. The straps are thick and strong and don't seem vulnerable to ripping off. I feel it will last for a very long time and I am so relieved to have found this product.

Did not serve its purpose
If you dont tie the pillows on very tight they do not stay where they are and dont do the job. If you tie them tightly they warp your pillow shape causing discomfort. Ive tried on multiple pillows and no luck. Tried the eyemask and the material is fine but it lets in so much light whats the point. Save your money and get something else this product aint it.

Lifesaver for cosmetic procedures
These little cushions work extremely well in preventing you from rolling over in your sleep. Because one is able to space them apart as wide as needed they are not uncomfortable or suffocating. The pillows are soft but supportive and very handy to tuck an ice pack if needed. Highly recommended if you need to sleep comfortably on your back.

Not sturdy enough but does the job
I bought these to help with my neck issues, if I turn my head too far when I sleep I wake up in a world of pain. Originally I had built two pillow "towers" to help keep my head from moving but they were not fool proof. I had hope these would replace the towers. Unfortunately, these are not sturdy enough by themselves. Even tied down, they move and give too much to prevent motion of the neck and/or head. I was able to incorporate them into the pillow tower format though and I do feel like they add stability to my current set up. With pillows behind them to have brace them, they are able to prevent motion.

Bought to keep an elderly persons head on the pillow
I bought this for my Dad who sleeps propped up at a 45 degree angle. The problem is that he leans to the right and winds up slumped over in bed. This solved the problem. I tied them onto the pillow and then put the pillow case over it on just the right side of the pillow. It is just enough to keep him from tilting over in his sleep. The only drawback is that the ties do not keep the positioner from shifting. I bought two big quilting safety pins and pined the straps through the back of the pillow case which solved my problem. It does make it harder to strip the pillow case for laundry.

Better than those pillows that want you to put your head in a depression.
These are an awfully good idea and if you can't sleep on one particular side I would try these before laying out money for the pillows with a depression in them. They easily fit even a larger pillow. They are very soft. I have a bad shoulder on my favorite sleeping side, as many do. This is what worked for me. I found that one did the trick. Say your right shoulder is bad. Put the bolster on the right side of the pillow. Position your head in the middle of the pillow, a few inches from the bolster. Now try to turn your head to the right. You can't. But of course you can turn to your left side. After a couple of months I trained myself to be a left side sleeper. Now I don't need it.

Adjustable and soft, does the job.
Does the job, keeps my sisterโs head from moving to the side. Easy to adjust. Soft and love the colour!

These are better than many reviews suggest
I had cornea transplant surgery and had to stay on my back for 3 days. These worked excellent for keeping me head straight and prevented me from rolling in my sleep. You need to use them with a good pillow and tie them well enough so they can't move. They worked perfectly for me!

Works well
Pretty comfortable. I like to rest my head on something to keep it facing up when I sleep on my back. Helps to minimise stomach sleeping. I just have one on so I can sleep on my side
