A really good microscope
I bought these to identify parasites in my koi pond. For the price this has been an excellent purchase. Very easy to set up and easy to use.

Microscopio que estando justo por encima de los de "juguete", casi se podría usar en laboratorio... muy buena óptica y calidad. Además, sus objetivos son de medida DIN estandar que permite comprar otros con más ampliación en el futuro.

I picked this up for the science labs for my high school, homeschooled student. I did quite a bit of research before choosing this one because: - metal and solid - adjustable table - electric light - variety of magnification powers This is a very solid microscope. It comes with batteries (included), a USB cord with plug-in, a storage cover (not a case or box), and a very, very brief instruction pamphlet, which tells you to go to a website and type in the included code to get the 'real' manual....which irritated me a bit. But since it is available, I'm swallowing that one. The microscope comes assembled with the simple slide holders. These are removed with a screw driver, and then the included, adjustment accessories can be screwed into place. This works smoothly and easily. The light is bright and well centered. The lenses work well and turn with ease. There is a lower and higher magnification eye lens, which is switched out with a simple pull-out and put-in motion. We are very satisfied and have no doubt that this will hold long beyond the homeschooling years.

Beware of the "MS" part. I really like a mechanical stage and with a drop of epoxy I can probably stabilize the broken slide drive knob. But what sort of irks me a little bit is whoever packed the box put in the wrong Mechanical Stage and the slide center will not go all the way to the center axis of the objective. I believe that I can route it out with my dremel tool and fix it up nicely so that the slide goes far enough back. But for you all who do not have a dremel, be aware. The price at Amazon for the correct MS is $22.17 and the difference because of the MS being included in the bundle appears to be only about $10 or $11 so I am not thinking that I will complain. I got it today and just checked it out. I have some fairly high quality 'scopes for my grandchildren, eventually, and thought I would get them broken in to the art on something kind of cheap but this might be stretching it a bit. The optics seem pretty terrific and I would have saved up for less when I was their age. The ac power plug disconnects the battery and saves the battery for truly outdoor outings. The LED is very bright and of course, cool. I doubt that there is any coating on the glass just a guess, but they say that it is glass. There is no screw holding the ocular in place so I thought it prudent to wrap a couple of inches of electrical tape around the tube. Really - not bad. Could this be love?

Great for my students to use in class. But when I installed the included mechanical stage, it was in the way of the coarse adjustment knob. I removed it and just use the clamps. Bit of a waste of money for the mechanical stage.
