My son has frequent nosebleeds and we needed something to help staunch the flow when he gets them. These were perfect! The right size and absorbency. Very portable when stored in a Ziploc bag and easy to dispose of. More affordable than products marketed specifically for nosebleeds and these cotton rolls worked well.

These cotton rolls are very absorbent but are a tad large for small children. It was right on the edge of fitting in my child’s nostrils. That said, there were no complaints and they work well. Pro tip: We cut ours in half to double how many we have. Great value for the money, and comfortable.

Spent $7 on these but will have to pay probably over $1000 because they work so well. I got these because my sons get bloody noses so often I needed something better than tissues or toilet paper. My son took a spill and his nose was gushing. I grabbed one of these and it absorbed quite a bit, I replaced it with a fresh one after a minute. His mouth bled too with a nasty lip cut and I decided probably need to go urgent care (in hindsight probably should have put one under his lip too). Urgent care sent me to the er, the er sent me to the children's ER. Why? Well there was swelling in his nose and apparently the blood clot formed in such a way several medical professionals worried it could be septum hematoma. That can be very bad- infection, restricted breathing, necrosis. I even said, could it be from me plugging his nose and it's just a clot (he showed up with one of these in his nose)? 6 hours of hurry up and wait across 3 medical facilities, the pediatric ENT finally said that's just a blood clot. When I showed him what I used and what I did he was like, "Wow nice job, most people wouldn't have known to do that, it clotted nicely." So they clot gushy bloody noses very well. Even though it cost me (unintentionally and just because I went to very cautious medical facilities), I'm still quite happy with how well it works, and that we did not require a procedure to drain pooled blood.

I was hoping I could use these on my 4 year old to help stop when he gets a bloody nose. These were too big to fit in his nostril.
