I had a small table lamp with a Tiffany type shade that I was very fond of. The lamp stopped working and I hated to toss out the shade, especially since I couldn't find another lamp with anything close to that shade. I bought this item, it works great and the shade fits on it perfectly. In fact, I like this lamp base better than the original one!
