BLACK+DECKER Grimebuster Powered Scrubber (BHPC130)

It's already a problem with soapy hands having to be able to have a firm grip or strength, but the on/off button is very hard to press. I have to use two hands and really press hard with my fingers (not recommended for those that may have health problems with their hands--which I certainly don't -- and I still struggle a bit). At the same time it's very weak, it doesn't scrub much. You have to set the unit down and do it with your hands to scrub off a pan or a pot or plate. Plus the accessories are also pretty weak. The abrasive pad is already coming apart after a few uses. And the brush pad, well it's very weak. Not sturdy enough to scrape some stuff off a pot or pan -- it almost feels like I am massaging the pots and pans -- and not really scrubbing the stuff off them. It's also very slow (spins too slow), I thought it was the batteries, but still with brand new fresh batteries and its still slow and sluggish. I got this because I thought it would help me speed things up washing some pots and pans, but nope, it's slower. They need to make this unit spin faster (RPM's), plus have more power and also do a better job in making these scrubbing accessories last longer, plus be able to scrub sticky pots and pans. UPDATE: B&D contacted me and they were glad to send me a replacement or a refund. I opted for a replacement, and I gotta say the replacement was like night and day, this other unit was working good. Both the Speed and Torque was an improvement, plus the on/off button was a lot easier to use -- I did notice near the battery compartment that this model was a 2020 version, while the older one stated to be a 2019 model -- I don't know if that makes a difference, but hopefully this info helps someone out. Though the pads need to be sturdier (IMHO), but at the very least the unit works great. So at the end, I did get a defective unit at first, and the replacement was perfect. Thanks B&D, you really came through!

Fits easily in palm of hand, scrubs fiberglass shower very well, and so much more comfortable than anything else. At 75 , cleaning shower not easy without it

It really does help pick up grime and grease that either yourself, your soap, or your dishwasher just can't get. And the attachments are dishwasher safe. Which is great. What is not great is that you only have one of each. Eventually they're going to wear out get too nasty to use. At that time it would be nice to have new attachments. That I do not have. Is this a deal breaker? No. It's still very good. And it is worth your time energy. It's just not going to be your only tool for cleaning in the kitchen.

I know this scrubber is intended for dishes but I use it to clean my sneakers. The fact that it's submergible sold me. It doesn't look like it has power but its very powerful, I was afraid it was going to tear thru the fabric on my sneakers but I just eased up on the pressure I was applying. Ease of use got 4 stars only because you do have to use some force to press the on/off button. Some sort of switch would be better.

I just received this today. I found, like another reviewer, that it is hard to remove the battery compartment cover. I ended up using a knife blade to pry it open. Also, it is DIFFICULT to turn it on, like I read on another review. I finally managed to do so, and the brushes spun very well. To turn it off, I had to quickly pry the battery compartment open to break the connection. *UPDATE* I emailed Black and Decker and advised them of the Problem. They are sending me another one, after checking my registration. *UPDATE #2* I hadn't heard from Black and Decker for over 2 weeks, so I contacted them again. The reply stated that they do not honor the warantee, but the parent company does, and he sent me a link to email them. [email protected] I did so, and hopefully it will be resolved. Very frustrating. Spectrum brands said they did not honor the warantee for 'power tools', and recommended I contact Black+Decker. Did so, including the message I received, and a few hrs later, I was informed another one was being sent to me. I received it today, and it DOES work. I found the easiest way to turn it on/off was with a sharp object pushing on it. I could hear a click when it connects good.

I was influenced into buying one of these and I am glad I bought it! I use it to clean the grout on my kitchen tile floor and in my walk in shower. It works like a charm for getting the grout sparkling clean! Is well made and has held up like a work horse! I am so glad I bought it! The only complaint I have is the packaging! The heavy plastic it comes in is so hard to cut and get off. No idea why companies choose to use that when it is so hard to remove. It's a helpful little tool at a reasonable price that you really should go ahead and get one!

Not powerful enough for tub scrubber & battery died quickly. Difficult to switch out heads. Disappointed in such a great name brand.

Yeah, you do dishes and want a power scrubber? This is great. You know what else it does well? Scrubs the back really well too. Perfect exfoliation though I'm sure they never though someone would use this in this fashion but the white pads are not too harsh on the skin. If you have a senior parent that requires you to wash their backs, this comes in clutch. plus, it massages them while you scrub! It's a two-fer!!!! I bought the black HD scrubbing pads too for doing the real dishes and it's fantastic! I'm probably going to cut some wet sanding sandpaper to this size and do a little paint restore on my truck too. This little device has so many uses, it's great!!!

Ergonomics Torque

Not fit for any real purpose. A rotating head toothbrush would provide the same service. The motor is so light in capability, that any minor pressure, slows the brush or disc. Id liken it literally to the light pressure to clean a plate in the dishes. It only has a very small contact point flat in the middle of the brush, so only works on that surface. 1 6/2cm diameter. The softer brushes are at an angle ' so if you want to use it on a larger area, it's at an angle , so the brushes aren't in contact as you'd want them on a flat surface, plus to get them to contact a flat, you'd have to apply pressure on the middle, which slows the motor down. It just doesn't make contact usefully really on any surface, save if you had something exactly the curve of the brush. I bought it to take some time and arm work out of spring cleaning shower grout but it's so slow, painful, unless your arm is incapacitated, why would you spend £30 on this, is my question now.

Easy and light to use as I have arthritis in wrists so very easy to use on the shower screen, bath and vanity basins

Had one of these years ago and it cleans so well on tiles in the shower or your drains and taps in the sinks. It’s the best little scrubber.
