I just got a Mach E a month ago and moved the dash cam from my Elantra into it. Immediately I realized the problem. In my Elantra the dash cam shuts off automatically when the car is off which is NOT the case for the Mach E. I searched for some solutions and it was either hardwire the dash cam to the fuse box, pay $300 for the Fitcamx or buy this dongar adapter. I love the dash cam that I have and really preferred to keep it so I really didn’t want to buy a new one. I also have no idea how to hardwire a dash cam so the dongar made the most sense. I’m a 20 something year old woman with zero experience doing anything with cars and I was able to get this hooked up in under 10 minutes. It was pretty straightforward, no tools or experience required. The hardest part was popping off the plastic piece and I use “hard” very lightly. You pretty much just unplug the mirror, plug in the adapter and then plug the mirror and dash cam into the adapter. It could not be any easier. I watched a quick youtube video just to see where the routed the wire and stuck the adapter. Now my dash cam powers on and off with the vehicle. No more worrying about battery drain

I use this to install a Garmin mini three dash cam in my Ford Mustang, Mach, E, and it was seamless. Very easily installation. Just dropped right in and everything worked. Easily able to hide all the cords and connectors behind the plastic trim pieces, so it looks like a very professional installation. Four months on, no problems with operation either. I would buy one of these for a Dash cam installation in the future.

This is a great option for my 2024 Ford Bronco Sport. I was tired of the wires hanging down. I’m also not a fan of running long cables across my vehicle. This is nicely tucked up out of the way. It just plugs in easily. It works great and my dash cam powers upon starting my vehicle. You can’t beat it for the money. I would recommend and would buy it again. I paired it with the AZDOME Dash Camera Mirror Mount for my ROVE R2-4K dashcam.

2025/08 update: It lasted almost 2 years before it died. I recently acquired this product, and it certainly serves its intended purpose well, with a few noteworthy aspects to consider. Pros: - This product does precisely what it's meant to do, providing a practical solution for managing your cables and keeping them organized. - It comes with three different types of USB cables, which is a nice bonus, ensuring compatibility with a variety of devices. - The inclusion of sticky clips for securing loose wires is a thoughtful touch, helping to maintain a tidy and clutter-free workspace. Cons: - One minor drawback is that the adapter could be a bit shorter. A shorter adapter would result in a neater and more compact fit inside the housing, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the setup. In summary, this product is a reliable cable management solution that does its job effectively. The inclusion of multiple USB cables and sticky clips adds value to the package. While there's room for improvement with the adapter length for a cleaner look, it's a practical addition to any workspace or home setup.

Genius idea. This wiring harness works perfectly with 2021 Lincoln Nautilus. It took 20 minutes to install and most of that is routing the cables so the tabs on the cover fit without pinching the wires. The install video here on Amazon is perfect, It all works flawlessly. I would highly recommend if you have an auto dimming mirror in your car. Wish I could do this to the other car but it doesn't have auto dimming power mirror. Saves you from having to route the dashcam wires all over to get to the 12v plug. Ford makes most of their 12volt plugs have constant power, so if you forget to unplug dashcam in every time, it stays on and drains your battery. With this adapter you don't have to worry about remembering to plug or unplug your dashcam. Love it.

Only received one of the three usb cables. Maybe cutting costs? I received the type C to C which is what was needed, so one less star!. Design looks different from pictures on Amazon, but overall working on a 2024 ford edge to power dash cam .

Bought this to add a dashcam to the wife's 2020 Ford Explorer ST. I wanted a very clean install with minimal wires showing. This pigtail was definetly the ticket to a successful job. I pulled down the panel located above the mirror by pulling straight down. Unplugged the mirror connector and installed this pigtail inline. I did use a dremel to enlarge the small notch that the mirror wire exits from so my wires exit through the same hole. The pigtail did exactly as advertised, was small enough to fit inside the cover/trim, and was easy to install. What more would you want.

I bought this Dongar power adapter to avoid having to run USB power cables throughout my vehicle. A side bonus is that, by tapping the auto-dimming powered rearview mirror, power is only provided when the vehicle is running or power is turned on in accessory mode - thus avoiding any worries of draining the vehicle's battery. It was a quick 5-min installation and now my Viofo Mini 2 DashCam is working perfectly in my 2019 Ford Edge! The product page doesn't specifically say my year Edge is supported, but after seeing two other reviews mentioning their 2019 models working I have it a try too. Highly recommended!

Da mein Mustang Mach-E geleased ist wollte ich auf der einen Seite auf jeden Fall eine Dashcam - auf der anderen Seite möglichst wenig am KFZ selbst verändern und auch keine Unsummen an eine Werkstatt zum Einbau eines Hardwire Kits ausgeben. Für den Einbau dieses Adapters gibt es ein super Video bei Youtube, ist innerhalb von 15 Minuten auch selbst geschafft. Es liegen 3 kurze Adapterkabel auf USB-C, Micro-USB und Mini-USB bei. Dashcam funktioniert einwandfrei und das Ergebnis ist super clean. Preis in Deutschland durch Import / hohe Versandkosten leider etwas höher als in den USA, aber allemal sein Geld wert!
