my apartment gets up to ~80-85 in the evenings during the summer. I have a 10g tank that was also getting up to ~85, and attaching 2 fans on the lowest setting dropped it from 82 to 78 in 2 hours (stopped watching the temperature after that), while my apartment ambient temperature was roughly 83. all the settings are quite quiet, though i haven't had the product for long and it seems like similar items to this may develop louder noises due to their own vibration & build quality. none of that so far though. very happy with efficacy and ease of use for this item. for a rough idea of the sound level, on max setting, you'd hear it if it were in your room at night, but it's not particularly noticeable during the day with any other sounds going on. for the lowest setting, you have to get very close to hear it running. another reviewer reported that you could set this up with a temperature controller. I'm thinking of doing that, looks like to do so, you just skip the speed&timer controller piece in the middle of this setup. the wall adapter can plug straight into the 3-way power splitter just as easily

I'm absolutely blown away by the value and performance of this aquarium fan. I have a 29 Gallon Tall fish tank for my Axolotl. Due to it being summer right niw I have been having a horrible time keeping Fred's water temperature low. It has been running at or around 73 to 74, that is not good for Fred. I have been putting ice blocks and ice in his tank daily and it would come down to about 71 but after only a few hours it would go back up. He needs to be at about 64 degrees fahrenheit. I was going to order a tank chiller, it was like 63 dollars but when I pushed check out they were adding 32.00 for shipping OUCH... I found these and thought well for 33.00 we will see. They arrived this morning about 7am, I installed all 3 on his tank about 930, within the hour the temp dropped to 72. I had errands today and when I came home at 4 the temp was at 69, it is now 930 pm and his tank is at 64 degrees. I didn't have good hopes for this product BUT I am now definitely 100% satisfied with it. Only think I didn't like is the split part that you are supposed to put on the tank and screw down to secure it will not open wide enough since I have the standard black thick Tim on my tank. I had to open the lid and pretty much balance all 3 along the opening but other than that they are working fabulous. I have now turned off all bit 1 fan ti see what will happen temperature wise tonight. Thanks for taking the time to read this long post, bit I promise you will be pleased with this product.

So I got this for our axolotl tank and tubs, The design is fantastic I love that the cords the connect the fans to the controller are nice and long they aren't short at all! Gives me the freedom to position them wherever I want. I currently am using two on the tubs and the third on the tank with no strain! The controller has 5-6 different speeds which is also amazing, it also has a timer which I haven't used to the full extent yet but the trial run of it went great. It currently keeps the tubs a consistent temp with no issues! This is a fantastic alternative for a chiller or if you need to keep temps down without freezing the water! 10/10 would recommend to anyone that is looking for an alternative to a chiller!

I was skeptical after Amazon posted this is a frequently returned item. I wanted a simple to use, effective cooling fan to use with my inkbird controller. You just plug the fan directly into the controller and skip the fan controller they include . The bottom line is this will cool your tank. Best of all, it can be used on a Fluval Spec 5 tank .

Works great

Purchased this fan for a 20 gallon Red Sea Nano G2 Cube. It is effective and very easy to install, right on the sump baffle. One major problem with the way this fan is designed is that if there is a power outage, the fan will NOT resume operation. The controller will need to be re-selected to an ON setting by a human. So if you have a Neptune Apex EB8 (EB832) or aquarium controller with smart outlet, you can't just toggle the fan on remotely or automatically from a smart outlet. It's unfortunate cause the fan is well-made, effective, and overall seems like a good product, except its configuration does not allow for smart aquarium usage.

Tengo unos pequeños ajolotes que con el tiempo van necesitando cada vez más espacio. Antes los tenía en una pecera de 10 litros y los ventiladores me funcionaban muy bien pero ahora que los cambié a una de 40 litros no logra bajar la temperatura menos de 18 grado. Así que este producto es bueno pero no para litrajes grandes. P.d. Soy de la cdmx y actualmente (05/24) estamos sufriendo olas de calor pudiera ser uno de los motivos del porque no enfría más.

Quise hacerle limpieza por todo el polvo que se acumula y de la nada se desoldó un cable

Llego usado y lleno de polvo, parece raspado ni dan ganas de probarlo. Además la caja llegó casi abierta, la voy a pegar con dureza pero es lo peor que he recibido.
