Sylvania QHE2X32T8/UNV Isn-Sc Fluorescent Ballast, 2 Lamp, 32W T8, 120/277V

My fluorescent lights suddenly quit working and the bulbs were good, so the only other problem was a bad ballast. I ordered this Sylvania ballast to correct the problem and it was the solution. After installation my lights worked great. Was easy to install if you are familiar with basic wiring. Match all of the colored wires. This was a good value and I would recommend this Sylvania ballast.

After I came home and my kitchen's fluorescent light isn't working. Checked and found the ballast is the issue but there are various kind due to wattage and number of fluorescent lights. I got this one and it is exactly like my old one. It took me 5 minutes to install it and it works great. Just hope it last.

This is a terrific product when paired with the appropriate flourescent lamps. You need to go to a Sylvania ballast cross reference, I don't post a link here but you can find one. toomanyamps should publish one, but they have a new website coming out, so maybe they will. you can eventually find one on other bulb sellers websites, but i didn't want to post another company's info so no link here. I bought 4 sylvania octron t8 32 watt bulbs at a local home improvement store and installed them, but they flickered (so did the old bulbs which is why i replaced them) with the old ballasts. I looked up sylvania ballasts and here's the deal. Quality sylvania ballasts are manufactured to very specific applications. So there is a T8 Octron 32W 2 bulb and a T8 Octron 32W 3 bulb and a 4 bulb, etc. That would LIKELY BE a QHE3X... QHE4X . or Then there is also a T8 Octron 40W 2 bulb, which might be a QHE2X40T8... and ....well you get the idea. You should look up and buy the EXACT RIGHT ballast for your application. If you do, then, ....the bulbs are brighter than the old 40W (i used 32's), they do not flicker, they are instant on, they don't buzz or whine. It's really nice. And the diffusion glass coating on the new Octron bulbs is so good that in a a fixture where i used to look up and see two bulbs through the plastic diffuser, it's almost a consistent white glow that's very even across, although you can barely notice there are two bulbs up there. They promote a warranty for big industrial users, if you MATCH the ballasts to the lamps exactly, so for a home user, these will likely last a long long time.

Hard to find florescent light parts since the government is forcing LED's--which are more expensive and no less harmful to the environment. Thanks Obama! Another one of your success stories! Anyway, I found it easy to install and works fine with my existing florescent fixtures in my office. I have two more out and bought this one to make sure it would work. Returning now to buy a couple more.

Retired electrician. Waited a while to give a review because it was so much cheaper than Home Depot. Works just as good as any that I have purchased from other places and saved money. What more can I say.

I only purchased this item to convert my overhead florescent fixture from the mercury based bulb (which is no longer available) to the new energy saving and non-toxic LED bulbs. The schematic shown did not match the schematic on my existing ballast, so I had to ask the clerk at the hardware store for help. It turned that I had to ignore the schematic on the existing ballast and play it some-what by guess. Doing the second one was much easier once I figured it out. I discovered that it was easier to cut the existing wires and connect the new ballast using wire nuts rather than trying to remove the existing wires from the bulb brackets. This is not a project for someone who is not fairly handy!

Works well, no issues, fair price when compared to buying a new fixture. I needed 2 and was considering converting to LED bulbs (remove ballasts) but the price of the LED bulbs changed my mind.

Initially ordered 2 of these for my shop and they were delivered ahead of schedule and they worked great. Easy to install and instant start. I have since ordered another 2 which had an issue with only one item being delivered. Upon reaching out to the vendor, they provided top-notch customer service and followed up with me each step of the way to get me the second item and their apologies for the order being messed up. Will definitely order more from this vendor when I am in need of this product again!

Appeared to be as stated , wired in , actuated the switch , lights came on.

It is supposed to be a 2 lamp ballast, outside of casing shows 2 lamp wiring, only powers 1 bulb.
