I have a French Door (2 doors next to each other) without a strike plate. Will your product work for me?

How exactly does one install this for outswing doors?

If you have a deadbolt lock and a regular doorknob lock do you need two or just one for maybe the deadbolt lock?

If you want extra protection then you can get two but I feel like one works quit well. Also I have yet to try this on a deadbolt. I would suggest buying one for your doorknob and testing it on the deadbolt before purchasing a second

Does it damage the paint on the door or wall?

It did not damage the door or paint at all. You don't have to tighten it until you can't anymore. You can still leave it a little lose and they still can't get in since it's on a thread like a screw & nut.
