Great for garden feed and very even spread

An excellent bit of kit, robust and easily adjustable.

Great product. Bought at a good price, which would have engendered a 5 star review. However I note that the price with shipment varies wildly, so 4 star, as a warning to be careful in what is ordered. Some reviews complain it doesn’t spread round the wheels. From what I have seen such issues can occur if either a brisk pace isn’t maintained and/or a if the barrow is tilted forward. I found the best spreading when the barrow is being pushed such that the rear support bar is only just above the ground.

It dose what it says on the box good product

Terrible product. Leaves a shocking spreading pattern, completely uneven, trails and piles of fertiliser left behind. Poorly made and hugely overpriced. I would be demanding my money back if only the process was not so difficult. Very disappointed

Works well and the edge guard feature is good but a bit expensive

I was very disappointed with this spreader, especially considering the price. The main issue is the design: the spinner sits at the same height as, or slightly lower than, the wheels, causing a significant amount of seed or fertiliser to hit the wheels instead of being spread evenly. This leaves visible lines where excess product is deposited, which can lead to uneven germination or even fertiliser burn. I tested it several times with different settings and application techniques, but the problem remained. I contacted the seller, who acknowledged my feedback and forwarded it to the manufacturer, but I was unable to return the item because it was outside the return window. I would not recommend this spreader for anyone looking for accurate, even application. For a product costing around £130, I expected a much better design and more consistent spreading performance.

This spreader was a huge let down for me, If i dont use the edge guard all the time it drops a thicker line of seed and doesnt actually spread it as much. its no good on left leaning hills as you get low on product as only has 1 wheel as the drive for spinner not both, The hooper is terrible design and holds the last bits up to high and doesnt fall into the shoot, It needs to be shaken a lot to get the seed into the shoot / gate area.

The best spreader for anyone with less than an acre of property. This spreader maybe small but it can throw product as far as the bigger units. The edge guard is a great feature as well. It’s very light but built very sturdy. Selection of the opening sizes accurate. Its contact size makes it easy to store. The handle does fold down so it’s very compact to store on a shelf or in a corner. It will never rust because it’s made from very thick plastic. You hose it off and it looks new. Great little broadcast spreader.
