My circuit breaker recently blew (off peak water heater), and this seems like what I need to replace it. Just wondering how easy these are to fit?

I bought 2 of these a while back and found them to be very easy to install. 2 screws was all that needed undoing and it simply slotted into the board. Obviously, you will need to ensure the supply to the consumer unit is isolated before you attempt to do this. If not sure, get a qualified spark in. The job should take him less than 5 mins.

Are these equivalent to mk ln59 series?

Totally disregard the post by "Andrew and his Cats". MK breakers and Hager breakers are different in quite a few respects. One should never fit breakers of different manufacturers in your consumer unit and what's more tampering with the busbar to make a rogue breaker fit is a complete and utter no no. This practice is against the latest edition of the requirements of electrical installations BS 7671. If something goes wrong, i.e. electrical fire or electrocution, you risk voiding your household or business insurance policy or even worse death.
