Definitely an improvement over thumbsticks (BUT DONT USE THRUSTMASTER DRIVERS!!!!)
The controller itself is really quite good. I'm into Sim Racing, but sometimes I want to just chill out with some easy Project Cars 2 or Forza Horizon. I don't want to climb into my rig and throw the VR on every time I want to do some racing. This controller is perfect for that. The thumb-wheel is a huge improvement over a traditional thumbstick. It's actually pretty intuitive. Now, it isn't as precise or as good as an actual wheel, but if you want to race on a controller, there really is no other option that compares. The negatives: 1. I'm a touch worried about the durability of the thumbwheel. No issues with it so far, of course, but it doesn't necessarily feel like the most durable thing in the world. Time will tell, and...well, its better that I can simply buy a replacement module over a whole new controller, so there are even elements of this negative that are positive. 2. Using the official thrustmaster drivers for this causes a blue screen crash. It took a super quick google search from me after it happened to understand that this is a known issue and has been a problem for YEARS. Unfortunately, this isn't surprising. A lot of the big name peripheral manufacturers seem to have no concern regarding their software and its effects on consumers (looking at you Logitech G Hub!). Thankfully, there is an easy fix. Just don't use the thrustmaster software, and if the drivers say Thrustmaster on them, delete them and let it use that standard windows xbox controller drivers. It works just as well. Overall. Worth it.

Overpriced and frequently having issues
I purchased this in February 2024, when I first got it, it was awesome. everything worked good and felt good. about two months one of the sticks fell off. No, not the module, the actual stick on the module. It looked like it was not correctly glued on or something from the factory. I was able to click it back onto the module, but shortly there after began getting random stick inputs, it was worse than stick drift. I contacted Thrustmaster for warranty repair. Nearly a month after several emails and sending many videos showing the issue and downloading their software to show I wasn't making it up they sent me two replacement modules. I'm on the second one now as one of them had the same issue, the stick was not seated/glued properly. In the last month the "B" button has come loose and gets stuck sometimes, and the sticks are again giving random inputs. I am not going to go through warranty again. For the price of this controller, It is not acceptable for it to last less than a year, I'm not throwing the thing around, I'm about as hard on it as I assume most gamers are. I am tempted to try their new lower priced HEART controller, but I am also not really wanting to risk another failure. Stick to racing/flight peripherals Thrustmaster, its what you do best.

Great controller with possibilities for the disabled!
This is a really good controller with the ability to swap components around to a layout that suits you! I bought it for the wheel option. I recently got injured and can no longer race on my Sim rig, so, I was looking for an alternative to just using the sticks on a regular controller and I found this! It takes a minute to get used to using the wheel and figuring out what the best layout is for your hands and driving style. It's not cheap, but, for me it was a literal game changer!

Very happy with this controller.
Overall I am very satisfied with this controller. It has some quirky issues with it though. The vibration glitch can be fixed by plugging it through an external USB hub or even trying different ports on a PC. I personally used my monitor's built in hub and the glitch fixed itself. One can test in the app to see if it's fixed. I believe it is not an issue with the controller but a power delivery issue with USB controllers. The "wheel" works great for driving. (albeit with a couple hours of muscle memory retraining) Stick drift and wheel drift don't seem to be an issue at all. At least I haven't noticed any gameplay issues but it does show slight jumping when an input monitor is running. It feels very solid as well as being nice and weighty in the hands. If you have larger hands it is a perfect fit. One issue being that if a user mode is saved it should probably be on slot 2 as my middle finger wraps around and presses that button regularly. If both 1 and 2 are programmed the same, either custom or stock, then it doesn't matter. Triggers are slightly shorter throw than a standard MS xb controller and can be "switched" to near zero. I paid full price for this and am happy with it.

About 4 months of use
This is my first thrustmaster controller. I heard really good things about it so I purchased one for my self. It’s been almost 4 months and the joystick has shift already. All I play is rocket league and Fh5 on pc. I’m really disappointed by the quality. To think my Xbox pro controller has lasted longer and it’s been used for many more games. Overall, I had a good time with the controller, I love the click of the buttons, however the joysticks are garbage.

Comfortable
I was surprised how comfortable the controller is. At first, I was skeptical on how I would adjust to the wheel but within 15-20 of driving around it became natural. Weeks later it's become second nature to me. Packaging is great for those who collect. Having the tool and being able to place the modules in different areas is great. If you prefer Xbox style you can have that, if you prefer PlayStation style then you can do that as well on the fly. Only minor downside for those into controllers like myself, it's not hall effect. I still give it a 5/5 though.

This joystick is a lot of fun. However, you may have to go through some initial pain to set it up. This is not a full size steering wheel though, and you need to keep that in mind. I have a G923 and this joystick is NOT replacing it by any means. But it gives me yet another option to play my racing games. I am using it with a gaming PC and Steam with various games: Dirt 2.0, FH5, Gear-Club2, Grid Legends, NFS Payback, New Star GP, V-Rally, Horizon Chaser Turbo and even moto TT. So, if you are thinking in buying here are few comments that may help in your decision: 1) It is solid and well put together. It feels as a premium joystick for sure. There are lots of buttons and module combinations. You can even buy other ones (i.e. fighting module). 2) I you remove the D-Pad buttons, you can still use the buttons on the back as replacement. I think this is really cool as I like to use both sticks and the wheel combination together, so the d-pad module is out. 3) The trigger LT/RT buttons have texture, which is very nice. I wish LB/RB had texture too, but they don't. 4) It comes with a secure cable. My only grip is that it is not USB C, it is USB Micro-B. Common, it is not 2007 anymore. 5) The side handles are detachable, but they do not have texture either. I think they should, or at least there should be an option to buy a set that it is, but there is no option as of my writing. 6) Dislike a full steering wheel, this joystick works with any game. Even the ones I cannot get to work with the steering wheel. It is also much better than racing with the joystick stick, so it is a better option in those cases. 7) Ok, so the most important thing and why you want this joystick for... The wheel. The edge is made of rubber and easy to turn. Yes, it turns just a few degrees, but I found that that works just fine. I'd say it is just about 45 degrees to each side. It works well though and one can drive perfectly with a thumb, which is the idea. The software allows you to configure how much you will turn depending on where the wheel is located from the default position. It basically uses three zones. I set it to something like slow=25, medium=30, fast=50 and found that works just great. As everyone says, it takes some practice, but it is fun once you get used to. So, few things made me question my purchase initially... 1) The Thrustmapper software brick my device on the firmware update. It took some pain to get it back to working again. Thrustmaster support leave much to be desired. 2) I had to initially disable the controller "rumble" on Steam as it was crashing my PC with every game I ran 3) Un-installing and re-installing both, Thrustmapper and the Thrustmaster driver solve the problem. Go figure. After that I was able to re-enable rumble on Steam. Hope the above info help

Pretty much said it in the headline, plug and play. PC does all the rest. Top quality fit and finish and construction. Easy to swap and the kit comes in high quality box, keeper, with all required parts etc.

My son grabbed this one as an open box for $99 CAD and its very impressive. The ability to replace thumbsticks on the fly once they get that dreaded drift seemed great. And then you realise the sticks themselves cost as much as an offbrand controller. This is fairly well made, but many components are still quite cheap. The bumpers are prone to break and fail similarly to the Microsoft controllers. The triggers and buttons however feel amazing. It truly is a "mouse click" button press. As a long time gamer, I was definitely impressed. The Forza wheel attachment however felt gimmicky as expected and fell short for me. I'm not sure I could justify this at the $250 price tag, but if you can get it on sale it's a great piece of hardware!
