My garbage disposal is not used for anything thicker than yogurt or cottage cheese. So that means I need to strain food scraps before going down the drain. I use a wire mesh strainer and put these great cloth net strainers over the metal mesh strainer. Nothing gets into the drain that does not belong. I use one every day or two depending on what was rinsed in the sink. Having an elastic rim, makes them easy to put on and take off making for ease of cleaning. When I take it off, I wrap it in a piece of paper towel, place it in a plastic bag in the freezer until trash day. This eliminates any trash can stink from rotting food stuff. These are a good quality with good seams and no holes. The value for the amount you get is good. The size and stretch allows for them to fit a few different sizes of strainers.

I have struggled, since the new house doesn't have a garbage disposal. I have tried every sink strainer, insert, option I could find. I hate them all. Seriously. Hate them. Until these! These are actually amazing! I bake and cook a lot. The "goo" from batter, bread dough, etc would get all gummed up in any of the sink strainers I tried. These little nets catch it all and make is SO EASY to clean out my sink strainers. You just pull them up, take your sac of scraps and drop them in the trash. No scrubbing, scraping, brushing, rubbing, soaking to get the "goo" out of your sink strainer! The video is of the remnants of pie crust from a pie pan that had been soaking. NO GOO to scrub out! They work with any of the sink drain strainers I have... and I have a lot... because I have tried them all. Until you scrape sourdough starter remnants out of a fine mesh sink strainer with a denture brush to try to get all the gunk out of the mesh... you can't truly appreciate just how amazing these are! The only "issues" would be, that about 10-15% of them will unravel along the elastic or have a hole in them that pulls open while putting them on. They ALSO stick like spider webs to dry skin!!! If you have winter dry skin hands... Only grab them with wet hands!

These worked great. I liked them but my husband dies the dishes and wouldn’t use them. They are especially great if cooking a big dinner. They keep cheese and all kinds of greasy food drippings from going down drain.

I use these when I bake so flour and sourdough and the gunk from baking doesn't go down the drain. As many people have said, many of the strainers have holes in them. And even those that don't, these things can easily tear. However, for $8, I double up the strainers and use two . Draining is slower, but it helps with the tearing. If someone here has used better ones, please share the link.

This is something I didn’t know I needed until I got it. I’ve shared this with other family members now. If you hate clearing out sink strainers,(Doesn’t everyone?) this is for you. They for easily in all my strainers and drain covers, even my shower drain. No more gagging while smelling slimy gunk stuck in the drain after doing dishes. Works great for keeping gunk out of your sink. Very sturdy and easy to use. Perfect for anyone who cooks often. Replacement bags are easy to use and a great price, when you need new ones. The bags stay on the frame well. I wish it folded up for storing, but it’s small enough that it can sit on the top of my sink.

These are great. I work with sourdough a lot..if you know sourdough you know it hardens like cement and you don’t want that going down your drains. These really keep my sourdough out of the pipes. So easy to use and just throw away. I highly recommend.

These work great on our sink. We don't have a garbage disposal so ensuring the drain doesn't get clogged with food debris is important. I bake sourdough bread and need to be sure the starter doesn't end up in the drain. These little gems are perfect for that. I will always have these in my kitchen.
