What are the instructions for brewing the scoby? I need to know if I can do them in my house before I can buy it.

You just need a jar, sieve, funnel, sugar and tea. A jar to grow the kombucha in, cover it with a thin muslin or tea towel as it needs air to brew. Secure it with an elastic band so nothing can get in, like fruit flies. A sieve when you decant it to make sure no little bits come into your finished “bucha”. A funnel to put it into bottles.

I have ordered a 5l scoby but the jar is only 2l. can i divide the scoby in two and use it for 2 jars of 2l each? many thanks

Yes there's no reason way you can't. However scoobies grow constantly. Each batch produces new ones so it's not an exact science. The juice is done when the tang you like is reached.

My kombucha us not floating on top but on the bottom and there are white stuff on top is it normal?

It’s normal for the Scoby to sometimes be on the bottom. The white stuff on top of it is probably a baby Scoby growing. The babies grow on top of the original (mother) Scoby.

Im brewing 8 litres how many scobys do i need

Depends on the number of brewing vessels, one per container. There’s not a lot of starter liquid with it though, so you either a: want to brew a starter (1 litre container first) then add that 1 litre plus scoby to your 8 litre container or B: add a couple of tablespoons of raw organic vinegar to your tea mix
