What are you supposed to feed the caterpillars?

The caterpillars come in a cup with their food supply in the bottom. most do not require any additional food until a couple days after they become butterflies. only then is a nectar needed to be provided by you. often a simple sugar water one works. though my butterflies wouldn't drink that and instead preferred the honey/water and Gatorade/water mixes. they also may enjoy some over ripe fruits piece with a fork for them to sip on and real flowers that produce nectar.

How big is the cage? Dimensions?

It’s about 11 1/2 inches high and about 10 inches in diameter. It’s ok for 5 butterflies, but it’s a bit cramped for the 10 we have. It’ll be easy to clean, so that’s nice. We can use it again.
