Xega Outdoor 4G Solar PTZ Security Camera with SIM Card, No Wi-Fi

I have three of these XEGA 4G solar cameras and use them all the time. They’re installed in a very exposed area and have handled all weather without any issues — highly durable and still running perfectly after more than a year. The solar charging has been excellent; the batteries have never gone flat, even through winter.The PTZ is smooth, picture quality is good, and the digital zoom is fine for a solar/4G camera. IR night vision works well, and I often use the built‑in night light for full‑colour night vision, which makes it easy to see exactly what’s happening. The 2‑way audio is usable and clear enough for quick conversations.The app is good and sends alerts straight away. The AI human detection is accurate, and I don’t get many false alerts. Motion detection has been very reliable — they’ve never missed a trigger for me, and they’ve alerted me to a number of unwanted guests over the year.I use XEGA’s own SIM cards at £5 a month and their cloud storage at around £3, and both have been worth it for the peace of mind. I did have one connection issue on one camera, but customer service sorted it quickly and without any hassle.For the price, the reliability, and the true solar/4G setup, these cameras have been excellent.

I’m really impressed with the Xega 4G camera. It was very easy to set up — everything worked perfectly right out of the box with no issues at all. I’m using it in an area with no WiFi, and it works brilliantly over 4G. The solar panel keeps the battery well charged, even with regular use.The picture quality is excellent both during the day and at night — really clear and reliable. I’ve turned off motion detection as the live view is sufficient for me.I was pleasantly surprised to be contacted by the customer service team after purchase — Kiki emailed to help me register my warranty and even offered an SD card or cloud storage at no extra cost. A really thoughtful touch that shows how much they value their customers.Overall, I’d highly recommend the Xega 4G camera — great quality, easy setup, and fantastic support!

wifi version is good, this so far has been very poor. I bought this Xega 4G camera after previously purchasing the WiFi-only version, which has been working perfectly. Unfortunately, this 4G model developed a fault with the SIM reader after a short period of normal use, kept sheltered out of the elements.The camera now boots with a purple flashing light that turns solid red, which means it cannot detect any SIM card at all. I tested multiple SIMs, reset the camera, disabled the SIM PIN, re-entered the APN, and even confirmed the SIMs work in another device — the camera still refuses to recognise a SIM. The WiFi version I bought earlier continues to work exactly as intended, so the issue is clearly specific to this 4G unit.I attempted to contact the seller through their support link, but the form does not work and there is no way to message them directly through Amazon. Very frustrating when the camera is still under warranty and simply needs replacing.I’m leaving this review in the hope the seller will reach out, as the product would be good if the SIM reader didn’t fail.

I purchased a few of these as we had issues with intruders and put them on three corners of the house front, back and side. We've had them for over a year now and they've proved to be very reliable, good quality cameras that offers great viewing and functionality with the tilting up & down, plus the 180 degrees pan. The initial set up was very user friendly and extremely easy to do. The HD quality frames are very good offering clear pictures and the solar panels have kept it in charge within around 90-100% range in good weather when in non full recording mode (motion trigger on 20-30 second recording mode) During the UK winter when it's pretty wet and cold, the battery does diminish quicker as to be expected. It's a simple job to detach from the bracket and it only takes a few hours to charge indoors. I've also purchased the yearly cloud recording service and it saves them for 30 days, of which you can also download the recordings immediately or alternatively you could save them on an SD card. I chose the 4G cellular standalone connection as opposed to WiFi as I preferred the ease and convenience of having them on independent mobile networks, without having to physically connect them to a WiFi router or be at the mercy of intermittent WiFi connections. That has also proved to be a good choice. Finally the customer service has been very prompt, friendly and very helpful when I've had minor issues, which a refreshing change. Overall I'm very happy with this product and service. I would highly recommend & would purchase this brand and from this company again in the future.

These cameras really are pretty great. Needed a camera that didn't require WiFi or for the battery to get charged by mains power and this ticked all the boxes.I just stuck with the sim card it came with as I didn't have time to mess about but I believe you can fit your own.Picture quality is just what's required and the app works really well.When you work out what you pay for a Ring camera subscription these cameras are worth a look.Ive only had to contact customer support once and they were very helpful.

I was debating between ordering this camera and Eufy one with solar and 4G, so I thought I will give this a shot given price and some concerns on Eufy one.. I was not disappointed. I've tested in the garden with my own SIM and had a good service. Easy to fit and fitted many before. The app offers SD and HD quality in case cellular coverage is weak/strong. I've had trouble with camera in rural locations where WIFI is required and this seems to preform well. Didn't need to charge it during since installed and battery is always at %100, although this is September so still a bit of long day. The vendor also kindly contacted me post purchase to check if everything is ok with the camera and offered free 64GB SD card or 180-day cloud storage service. I think the vendor is keen on keeping customers happy which is a plus. I'll be purchased another 2 as the first was just to test.

Acabo de comprar 3 camaras y carecen de Ranura para tarjeta SIM la traen interna en Mexico no hay doporte para recargas.,no lo describen en la compra,Hace 1 año compre 4 y todas funcionan perfectamente con su ranura para el SIM ya que se usan en México con compañias de telefonía locales...Las tiendas deben de checar ese detalle ya que son obsoletas en muchos paises.

Fiable et robuste. C'est la 2eme caméra du même modèle que j'achète. La première a 2 ans et a résisté à toutes les intempéries! Liaison 4G facile avec EiotClub. Appli Ubox fiable et pratique. Je m'en sers comme caméra de détection de gibier sur mon territoire de chasse et elle détecte bien les animaux. Seul bémol, elle déclenche en cas de vent fort et parfois à cause du soleil, mais c'est le cas de beaucoup de caméras dans cette gamme de prix!

Ho acquistato questa telecamera solare per il giardino e devo dire che mi ha sorpreso. L’installazione è stata semplice e veloce, non servono cavi né prese perché si alimenta con il pannello solare incluso.La qualità video in 2K è davvero nitida sia di giorno che di notte, con una visione notturna chiara e definita. La funzione di rotazione (355°/90°) permette di coprire un’area molto ampia e controllare ogni angolo.Il rilevamento del movimento è preciso: ricevo subito la notifica sul telefono e posso verificare in tempo reale grazie alla connessione 4G. Molto utile anche l’audio bidirezionale, che mi permette di parlare direttamente tramite l’app, ad esempio per dare indicazioni ai corrieri o scoraggiare intrusi.La batteria dura a lungo e con il pannello solare non ho mai avuto problemi di ricarica. In più, la struttura è solida e resistente, perfetta per l’esterno.👉 In sintesi: ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, facilità d’uso e tante funzionalità utili. Lo consiglio a chiunque cerchi sicurezza senza complicazioni.

Great 4G camera. Set up was easy, I had no problem changing the APN to my Aldi data sim in the app. Images are clear and the camera is responsive. So far it has been very reliable. Hedy from Xega customer service, was very helpful by checking if there were any problems and set up my warranty.

DONT BUY FOR INDIA. It does not work in india . AVOID hassle of return, because delhvery never ever come to pick up the product. and keep pusshing .. even now i am getting sms..
